A few weeks ago we sold on Ebay a Perfect, umber 1 condition MGB for $30,000....the best one I have ever seen (1964)
This 76 MGB is certainly not a "Pebble Beach Concurs D'Elegance car" or a SHOW car!
It is a nice looking and wonderful driving MGB. A few days ago, drove it over a 100 miles and yesterday another 70 miles to have the great sounding stereo you see now installed in the dash. Speaking of the Pioneer AM/FM Stereo, D Player with remote control, he great sounding speakers are set up so they can be quick-disconnected in a couple of seconds if you need the use of the storage area behind the seats. Init's place, ou can plug in any small set of speakers, till have music, nd the use of more storage space.
We replaced the battery with a high cranking one ($129.50) and had the car tuned up by a wonderful mechanic in Boca Raton who for the past 35 years works only on British, talian and German cars from the 50's, 0's and 70's.
This MGB has a new convertible Top &ConvertibleTop boot as well as some beautifulcustom MGB Floor mats.
All the gauges as well as the tachometer works but I noticed today the odometer & thespeedometer stopped working. I think it needs anew cable? We are not going to have this addressed. This is an ACTUAL mileage car and has an ACTUAL mileage title.
I totaled up the dollars spent on this MGB, dded in the purchase price and we have over $10,000 in this car.A couple times a year,we sell a car at a loss and use the loss as a tax deduction...this car will be sold for a few thousand dollar loss...
Please pick up the phoneand call us at(954) 873-6495and I will share with you how inexpensive you can start to enjoy this 40 year old British fun sports car.
Iwill onlyrespond to a livevoice with this information...NOT via E-mail!

MGB represents one of Britain’s most iconic classic cars. Its status as an everyman’s sports car cemented its place in the popular culture of the 1960s and ’70s. Today, he model’s success in period has translated into a quickly appreciating, ery usable classic car.
Launched at the October 1962 London Motor Show, he MGB had an attractive envelope body, schewing, inally, he traditional British separate fenders and low-cut doors. At the rear, or the first time, as a useful trunk, he fuel tank having been tucked away under the body.
Although the MGB was produced over an 18-year production run, here were many series of changes to the styling of the car over that time. Mk1 MGBs, roduced from 1962–1966, re defined by the purest styling cues: pull-handle doors, teel dashboards, tow-away tops, nd chrome bumpers.
BHP figures are measured at the wheels unless otherwise noted.A short discource on measuring horsepower by Teri OlcottUp until 1971, ngines were listed with what is called brake horsepower (Bhp). Brake horsepower is a calculation where the engine horsepower is measured at the point of output with no load from a chassis or any accessories and with fuel and ignition operations under ideal conditions. Brake horsepower is often called gross horsepower today. This figure was often used for advertising purposes up to 1971.An accessory is anything attached to the engine, y any means, hich is not required for basic engine operation. By this definition, his would include a power steering pump, mog pump, ir conditioning compressor and an alternator.Ideal conditions, ften called laboratory conditions, re standardized settings for use during horsepower measurement. During the 1960s they consisted of a barometric pressure of 29.92 Hg and a temperature of 60 degrees F.Net horsepower, lso called road horsepower, Rhp) is a calculation where horsepower is measured after the load from a chassis and accessories. Essentially, his is the power available at the drive wheel or wheels of a vehicle. This type of horsepower is also called SAE net horsepower.

MGB owners were famously among the first to beep their horns when encountering another. Obviously, his happens less frequently today, ut the spirit lives on in this excellent example.
191975 model-year (Dec 74) and 1976 model-year (Sep 75) inclusive, pecification as for Mk II and earlier Mk III models.Engines:Variants: 18V - Aug 1971 to Oct 1980. There were an number of variations of this engine depending on carburation and emission controls.
British models now have a recalibrated power output of 84bhp (DIN) at 5,250rpm. Maximum torque 104lb. ft. at 2,500rpm. HIF4 carbs were introduce on the home market cars from Nov 1973.
Federal models: Zenith-Stromberg carburettor. 65bhp (DIN) at 4,600rpm. Maximum torque 92lb. ft. at 2,500rpm. Overall gear ratios unchanged except optional overdrive 3.21. 21.8mph/1,000rpm in overdrive.
The Zenith-Stromberg carb was introduced in Dec 1974.
Compression ratio: as per engine number prefix, (high compression) 9:1, (low compression) 8:1.
)The first MG's to sport the new US Federal 5 MPH crash bumpers. Additionally, he cars were raised an inch and a half. This caused the 1975 cars to handle terribly, ith considerable body roll due to increased height and weight. The twin SU carburetors were replace with a single Zenith Stromberg Carburetor. In 1976 a rear anti-sway bar was added to help restore the late model B's to their predecessor standards.
Today was a beautiful South Florida Winter Day, 5 degrees, o humidity and gorgeous sunshine. I decided to take this MGB out for some "exercise" and drove it for almost one hour all over Boca Raton and Ft. Lauderdale
How didit run and drive?Fabulous.I average 25 MPGat 3500rpms in top gear.
I hadn't started the car in nearly3weeks...I pulled the choke out halfway, urned the key and the car fired upimmediately. It has an electric fuel pump that makes starting the car easy as well as a battery killswitch behind the seat on the batteryto prevent any unwanted drain on the car'sbattery.
Ienjoyed every minute of my top down drive in the Florida Sunshine.

Twenty First Century Auctions has been selling fine Late model sports cars, intage and collectible cars on EBAYMOTORS since March of 2000 and we have a 100% feedback rating.....Almost 1/4 of a Billion dollars worth of vintage cars over the past 16 years.
Even in this very tough economic times where real estate has tumbled down a very steep hilland the stock market fluctuates wildly up & down....vintage cars hold their value or in most instances appreciate in value.
Invest your money in something you just don't "Put in the Bank" but something you can "Drive to the bank and anywhere else you might choose to do with your family & friends."Why not have fun with your money? ...enjoy your life and know that when you wake up in the morning your dollars are still safe in your garage or warehouse&haven't evaporated into thin air!
If your tired of seeing the stock market drop 200-300 points in a single day...put your money into appreciating assetsthat also will actually put smiles on your face every day!
I asked JerryJ. Moorewhile staying at his house in September of 1989, why do you now have over 1000 collectable cars?"He replied with a slight grin and replied "Should I buy more?" We made a 10 car deal involving V-12 Ferrarison a breakfast napkin at the Dobbs House restaurant in the Houston Hobby Airport just before I boarded my flight back to Miami, lorida...and that was Jerry J...having fun and wheelin & dealin 24/7...anywhere and anytime!Iconsidered my self veryprivileged to be close friends with the late Jerry J. Moore fromHouston,Texas. Jerry was a Real Estate Mogul and one of the largest owners of shopping centers in the world.I really miss my pal and think of him often.Jerry was also an avid car collector and amassed one of the largest and best vintage car collections on the Planet. If Jerry told me once....he probably told me over 100 times......"In case you forgot...remember..."You will never see a Brinks truck at a funeral service or a Hearse with a luggage rack at a cemetery!"He believed that at best, ife is uncertain and thatone should enjoy desert 1st.Car collecting is a family thing...everyone around the world admires and loves these great vintage and collectible cars.We have sold cars fromAustraliatoAlaska...FromChinatoSaudi Arabia.....FromManhattantoMoscow....and the hobby keeps growing & expanding all the time.Collector car insurance is dirt cheap...about $250-$300 a year for a collectible like this. and you can buy full coverage! They usually require a garage and not more than 2500-3000miles a year put on the car.I recommend you only buy a car like this if you have a garage to keep it in.Your welcome to come in person to inspect this car for yourself...hire anyone you like to come on your behalfor come yourself.
I truly believe there is NO such thing as a "PERFECT" old car or even a late model car that has been driven, E ARE NOT making such a claim.....This is a nice "Driver" not a show car.
We are urging you toPLEASEcome and inspect the car in person, rive it or to hire an expert inspector to do this for you. AGAIN....Please do not ask us to recommend anyone....we want you to select & hire your own inspector.
If you wish to schedule an appointment to see this car, lease call me at954-873-6495....We would appreciate at least a 1-2 day notice. It is currently being stored inanair-conditioned private garage in Jupiter,FL.It is started anddriven a few miles on occasionif it's a beautiful SUNNY day and allowed to warm up,possiblyonce a week.
