1955 Nash Convertible Description
Featured here is a rare find! Purchased from an estate, this British influenced variant of the Nash line of automobiles is rare and unusual, and exceedingly popular with American auto enthusiasts as well as British car lovers. It has the economical Austin type 4 cylinder motor, which is in excellent running condition! If you want a neat car for touring that gets lost of attention then this is it! I have it currently at a British car restoration shop where it has been looked at and determined to require some attention to the brakes. I have decided to focus on another project now, and not delve further into this one, although it appears that it could be gotten roadworthy with just a little TLC, although I have no real knowledge about it's drivability since I bought it from an estate. this one will go to a lucky new owner at a low reserve price. Hagerty Valuation Guide has established the 'average' value of this very car at $14,000. My reserve is a fraction of this and set far, far lower than that, and with some restoration, you can have a fine collectible investment vehicle! It appears to have had some bodywork long ago, and has some minor rust shown at the passenger rear in a photo. Door hinges sag and need attention. Interior panels were removed when I bought it, and will need reinstalling, although pictured are the original door handles and hardware. Regardless, it is being sold as a project car that is 60 plus years old, and someone should recognize this prior to buying. I encourage inspections by you or a hired local person if you want details, although I can try to answer questions within my limited knowledge of the car. It does look good under the hood as far as the mechanicals and there are some newer parts installed and the metal breather unit was restored, so it is evident that it was driven not too long ago.I offer no warranties or representations with this car, and it is sold as is, with a title that I received from the beneficiary of the estate, left open as it was acquired by him, and was formerly titled in Iowa. The VIN on the title does match the tag under the hood...number plate is pictured. Mileage noted on the title and on the odometer is 25,627, so I am selling as total mileage unknown, and have put 999999 for mileage on this ad.All shipping is the responsibility of the buyer, although I will assist with meeting your shipper and oversee loading. There will be a $500 deposit required preferably by PayPal within 24 hours of end of auction, with the balance due in 10 days. Any fees associated with payment of balance to be assumed by the buyer. Thanks for attending this auction!

On Sep-29-16 at 05:16:34 PDT, seller added the following information:I continue to get questions about whether the car runs. Yes, it runs beautifully with a nice smooth purr! It definitely needs brake work to drive and that is why I cannot tell more about its drivability! I did want to note in case it is not evident in the photo, that the driver side window glass has a crack, but it is flat glass which can easily be cut and replaced.
