1955 Nash Metropolitan Convertible
1955 Nash Metropolitan Description
This is an original California car that had the same original owner for 60 years. It still has the 1963 black and yellow California license plates on it. The car was put in storage in 1967 and didn't see daylight until 2016. It took some Marvel Mystery Oil, some gasoline, and about two hours to get it purring like a kitten. The brakes and hydraulic clutch system will need to be freshened up, and a new water pump (included) to be installed to be drivable, but the engine is tight. This may be the only Metropolitan convertible that I have seen with virtually no rust. There is some surface discoloration on the floors, but they are solid, as is the rest of the car. There is one small dent in front of the left rear wheel. This is a perfect candidate for a full restoration, or it can be driven just like it is. The original color was red. Not sure why they painted it blue, but they did. Feel free to call me with questions. More pictures available upon request. 626 375-6693
