1975 Oldsmobile Eighty-Eight Description

Excellent project or fix your B-Body Donk Impala, Delta 88, Lesabre

Body

I have a 1975 Olds Delta 88 Royale that I had planned to make a sleeper ratrod out of. As you see, the body has surface rust that formed after paint was stripped but can be sanded or dustless blasted off. There is rust through at lower rear quarters but nothing a few patch panels can't fix. There are 3 places where the previous owner (riveted) patch panels over rust holes. I didn't know about this until I stripped the paint off. The body is complete from front to rear. The trunk is treated and painted top and bottom and so are the floors. The floors are patched up with no more rust through (again previous owner).

Brakes and Suspension

The suspension and front brakes are brand new with 0 miles since installation. The front disc are Wilwood with slotted rotors. The front and rear coils are new. The front A-Arms are tubular. The power booster and master cylinder is new (surface rust from sitting). The rear drums are old but the new brake pads and springs are included. Just haven't gotten around to doing it.

Interior

The interior is complete with all panels and seats intact. Carpet is good top not ripped but the back plastic window needs to be stitched back up. The top works but is disconnected so I can open it and close it while the battery is not in it. The trunk button has been replaced with a key switch. A 4" screen is in place of the radio and a Clarion DVD head unit is in the glove box (needs to be hooked up). The steering wheel is removable with a Grant kit. The accelerator pedal has been replaced for the fuel injection system.

Engine

The Engine is a drive by wire fuel injected 2003 LM7 from a Chevy Silverado that had 153k miles. The heads have been machined by Superior on Moreland Ave, cleaned and honed cylinders, new gaskets. New headers, new plugs, AN fittings on fuel rails and braided lines. New fuel pump in baffled tank. New inline fuel filter. The wiring harness has been reworked removing unnecessary wires. The VATS have been removed and engine runs. It needs an initial tune to remove unnecessary and removed sensors. Included is a laptop with the software to do so. The fuse block has been redone with all necessary relays and fuses. OBD 2 and engine light on dashboard. Also the car has a new 0 mile Griffin radiator with new overflow. The starter is new and the battery has been relocated to the passenger side.

Transmission

Transmission is 4l60e from the same running and driving Silverado. Has B&M Quicksilver floor shifter. Neutral Safety, brake lights, and Torque converter clutch (TCC) have been wired in.

Comes with factory rollers and a set of 24" wheels.

Car runs and idles but the Brake system needs to be bleed in order to drive it. I have not driven it since 2010 when it had a 455. Needs to be towed.
