This car was inspired by the TV Series “Highway Patrol” starring Broderick Crawford as “Chief Dan Mathews”. The dramatic series ran from 1955 to 1959 and was based upon the California Highway Patrol. In the first season Crawford drove a 1954 Oldsmobile similar to this one. Thru out the series he would drive several different cars but is better known for driving a 1955 Buick.
