1967 Oldsmobile Delmont 88 - 425 SUPER ROCKET - 72xxx ORIGINAL MILES!
1967 Oldsmobile Eighty-Eight Holiday Sedan Description
For sale is my 1967 Oldsmobile Delmont 88 Holiday Sedan (four door hardtop). The car runs and drives great! It has the 425 High Output Super Rocket engine. It has 72,000 original documented miles. I bought the car from the original owner's family, and the title is clean and in my name.
THE GOOD: It has new brakes, which includes a new master cylinder, brake lines, fittings, shoes and hardware, and all four drums have been resurfaced. The rear window has been resealed and the carb has been adjusted and a new choke has been installed. All lights work (turn signals, emergency flashers, low beams, high beams, brake lights, reverse lights, dash lights, ashtray light, radio and climate control lights, glove compartment, and engine light). The only light that doesn't work is the dome light, which I suspect is just burnt out as the fuse isn't blown. As far as the interior goes, it is like new. There are no rips in the seats or cracks in the dashboard, and the headliner is in great condition. The original AM radio works great with both speakers in the car. It comes with all the hubcaps. The trunk still has factory paint in it and it has the spare tire and jack from when new. The paint is original and in good condition for being 51 years old. Like I said, she runs and drives great.
I have a lot of original paperwork that will come with the car, such as a copy of the original title, the original Protect-o-Plate with warranty book, receipts of work done to the car over the years, Midas muffler lifetime warranty certificates, numerous old City of Chicago vehicle sticker licenses, a few insurance cards, old registrations, and the owners manual.
The Not-So-Good: The A/C does not blow cold and needs to be charged or fixed. The bracket that holds the mirror on snapped and only holds on sometimes, so a newbracket will need to be installed eventually. Also, there is an exhaust leak on the drivers side manifold. It will need a newexhaust manifold or the original one welded. There are some bad rust spots on the car, which can be seen in the photos. The vinyl top is peeling as well.
I have more pictures thatI can send to you if need be. I would totally keep the car, but I am going away to school and already have two other cars that I need to find places to store for winter.
