1970 Cultass W31 Numbers Matching and Documented
1970 Oldsmobile Cutlass Description
Up for sale is a 1970 Cutlass W31 with 82,000 original miles. The engine still has the correct harmonic balancer, W-350 aluminum intake, correct 255 carb and correct open face alternator. The engine numbers match those in the VIN. It has its original JO code transmission also with the numbers matching the VIN. The differential code is TM which is 342 posi. The car came equipped with manual disc brake as all w-31's did and manual steering. It has black bench seat interior with a column shift. It retains most of its original Matador red paint with white strips and original white vinyl top. When I purchased the car it was missing the hood but I had one and it is installed and in primer. The hood is an original OAI hood with steel frame. The car has very little options. I was able to locate 2 broadcast cards one hog ringed to the bottom of the rear seat and the second under the carpet beneath the pass side sill plate. The best part about the car is that it is numbers matching, documented with 2 broadcast cards and all the hard to find parts are there!!! The car has not run since the early 80's. The car spent its early years on the east coast and with the salty roads the car picked up some rust around the rear quarters. It will need quarters, outer wheel wells, and truck drops. The trunk floor is very nice. The trunk lid is very solid. It has one small rust spot around the rear window under the vinyl top. The front fenders are the correct flat lipped fenders which are 1970 only. The front fenders have some rust at the bottom but not bad they are very fixable. The floors are mostly solid I found a small soft spot on the drivers front pan. The floors will NOT need to be replaced. I do have many NOS parts for the car that are not included in this auction but are available at an additional cost to the buyer. If you are looking for a numbers matching W-31 restoration project this is a perfect candidate!!!!! Additional pictures are available upon request. Deposit of $1,000 is due within 3 business days of the auction closing and payment in full via wire transfer is due in 7 business days. There is no warranty and the vehicle is being sold as is. I reserve the right to end the auction early. Shipping is at buyers expense
