1962 Ford Econoline “Travel Wagon”
Travel Top – Pop Top
Original un-molested “Travel Wagon”
I purchased this van in 2012 from a buddy that had purchased it in 2001. My buddy had driven the van around his neighborhood when purchased then parked it under a lean-to for a few years before I purchased it. I trailered it home and garaged it with the intent of restoring it. Fast forward 6 years later and I have too much on my plate and need to let it go to a van enthusiast.
The BAD:
1) The motor appears to be stuck from sitting. I am sure it wouldn’t take much to get it to spin free?
2) No brakes from sitting.
3) Van needs restoring back to the original condition (see pics).
4) No rear bumper.
5) Minor dents and rust.
The GOOD:
1) It’s solid. Look at the pictures. Minor exterior rust but no structural rust.
2) “Travel Wagon” Interior needs restoring but 95% of the parts are there for a pattern.
3) Canvas bunks are still there including the wall mounts. One bunk is in the pop top and the other is in the front and goes from side to side over the front seats.
4) Front passenger seat and glove box are missing/dash cut out with hole in front floor. I was told this had been done for a porta-potty. ?
5) Tires/wheels. I will try to get some rollers on for transporting.
If you have any questions or want specific pics, please contact me as soon as you can. I work out of town during the week so my time is unfortunately limited. Feel free to text or call my cell – 610-357-8873 (Rick), but I most likely will not be able to answer until after 5pm. I am up front and honest, do not want buyer to be disappointed.
The title is good and in my name.
I will not be available the last week of July (Tuesday 24th thru Sunday 29th).
Please note that I HAVE advertised elsewhere and reserve the right to sell before end of auction.
Call Rick, 610-357-8873.
