1983 OSHKOSH M977 HEMTT CARGO Description

The vehicle VIN is 10T2KIJ28D1021828 but is non-conforming to ebay requirements.
I am selling my very rare (with these options) OSHKOSH M977 HEMTT, Heavy Expanded Mobility Tactical Truck. It is powered by a 450 HP 8V92TA Detroit Diesel and backed by a 740HT 4 speed Allison transmission and a 2 speed transfer case. It is 8 wheel drive and has lockers on all 4 axles. A 2 1/2 ton Grove 19 foot knuckle boom crane adorns the back. It has a 22k self recovery winch that is centrally mounted and can be used from the front or rear of the truck. Has a rare, un-cut m66 gun ring. Inside the cab is a new driver's seat and steering wheel.A one-off custom grill!! Train horns! There is a 4 channel camera system, a quad band ham radio, CB radio, aircraft intercom for driver and passenger that you can plug your MP3 or phone into and listen to music in stereo. All lighting has been switched to LED as well as has a push button light switch. Lots of new parts, drag link, air dryer, etc. New paint and stencils. Has the remote for the crane and comes with tools. Tires are Goodyear and in good shape, 90% tread. The Michelin spare has never been on the ground. Runs and drives great! Top speed is 65mph. Gets 4 mpg. Is street legal and has a SP plate that you never have to renew. Clear and clean Oregon on-road title.

The cab does have some rust in it and I have a brand new A2 cab that goes with the truck also. It has upgrades like air ride seats, electric wipers with delay, 4 point harnesses, etc. The bed length is 19 feet. 100 foot turning radius. Lots of spare parts. Gets LOTS of looks and thumbs up. I have babied this truck and it has never left the pavement. I am the second civilian owner. 16,000 miles and had its Red River Army Depot Overhaul in 2007. I have put roughly 2,000 trouble free miles on it. Oil has been changed recently, has spin on oil filter, and transmission has ATF in it. It will come with a box of spare filters and extra parts also.

These are no longer being auctioned by the military and there are only a few winch trucks in civilian hands.

This truck is also listed locally as well as facebook market place, so I reserve the right to end the auction early if it sells.
Check out the videos of the truck on my YouTube channel, "steve's military vehicle channel"
