1983 Toyota Land Cruiser Description

1983 Toyota FJ40 Land Cruiser (VIN FJ40362238)
I acquired this vehicle three years ago while working in the Middle East, and completed a nut and bolt restoration before shipping it to North Carolina last year. The following work has been well documented and the truck will come with photographs and invoices:
Suspension, Brakes & Driveline:
  • OME Old Man Emu 2.5" Lift Kit (With Medium Rate Springs) & Steering Damper
  • Wilwood Performance Front Discs & Calipers
  • Rebuilt Transmission & Transfer Case (Terrain Tamer)
  • New Aisin OEM Master Cylinder
  • OEM Clutch Master Cylinder
  • New Aisin Locking Hubs
  • New power steering hoses.
Body:
  • New Passenger and Rear Floor Pans
  • Repaint in Dune Beige Two Stage Paint (Code - 412)
  • New OEM Decals
  • New OEM Bezel
  • New OEM Front Bumper
  • New Rear & Side Window Glass
  • New Toyota 16" OEM Rims with Dunlop 16R7.50 Tires
Engine:
  • New OEM Aisin Carburettor
  • New OEM Aisin Fuel Pump
  • New OEM Valve Stem Seals
  • New +0.010 Pistons
  • New Crank Bearings
  • New AISIN Clutch
  • New AISIN Clutch Master Cylinder
Interior:
  • OEM Dash Pad
  • OEM Toyota Headliner
  • Seats Re-covered In Color Matched Fabric
  • New Carpeting
  • Pioneer Bluetooth Stereo System
  • OEM Lockset
Electrical:
  • OEM Denso Ignition Coil
  • New EZ-Wiring Harness
  • OEM Dome Light
  • New OEM Tail Lamps & Covers
I have completed 800 miles since the restoration. There are still a few small things to note:
  • The ammeter hasn't been fitted (I have a new OEM one here)
  • We rebuilt the engine with two head-gaskets (a previous owner had carried out an over-zealous skim)
  • The car will be supplied with the original Nippon Denso AC Unit & Controller (the drier is present but the condenser & compressor are missing). Though most people would install a vintage air or cool cruiser's system in order to use modern refrigerant.
The vehicle is located in Weaverville North Carolina, you are welcome to view it most evenings & weekends. (828) 301-6618
