1939 Packard Model 1705 Description

1939 Packard Super 8 model 1705 seven passenger touring sedan needing complete restoration. Car has been in storage and hasn't run since the early 1960's. Has a clear Massachusetts title. Very unique Senior model Packard, can't be too many of them around. Has the 320 cid engine with overdrive transmission. The Packard is fairly complete, butthere are somemissing parts, for instance: wings on the hood ornament, knob for wiper switch, left rear door inside handle, chrome bezels for the rear taillights(have the lenses though, see last photo), some hood side moldings and right hood side part that holds the Super 8 emblem, one rear bumper guard, air cleaner baffle.Floors are rock solid but, thecar does have some rust issues. There is a hole in the left rear door and top of left rear fender. The floor pan inside trunk needs to be replaced. These areas can be seen in the photos. Someone years ago welded an ugly patch to the lower front of the left front fender. The frame is good and solid, no issues there. All tires hold airand rolls extremely easy for such a large car, 148 inch wheelbase to be exact. Also have the two chrome runningboard moldings which are included in the sale, but have no photos of them.
