1967 Plymouth Satellite Fresh 440 HP Engine 4 speed GTX clone, Belvedere RO23
1967 Plymouth Satellite Description
Up for auction is my 1967 Plymouth Satellite . From what i understand the original owner had the engine swaped by the dealer in Sept of 1969 ( according to his son). They installed a 440 HP long block at his expense . Car had 32,183 miles on it when the engine was changed out . And it was recently pulled and gone through agai, forged crank and rods are standard, speed Pro flat top forged pistons heads were done with hardened seats for unleaded gas . and a Mopar super commando style hydraulic cam and lifters ( sounds awesome, along with a high volume oil pump . while the engine was out the flywheel and Clutch were replaced as well as pilot and throw out bearin, The car is painted dark green mettalic and the paint is driver quality. .looks like an old laquer paint job, but shines up nice. car has a good shifting 23 spline a -833 four speed with hurst shifter . new driveshaft and a Brand new 8 3/4 rear with 3:91 sure grip and strange forged axles. less than 3k miles on everything . the car moves man, exhaust is long tube header ( dont know the brand) and new 2 1/2 duals into new flowmasters that dump right before the rear axle . car is manual steering and manual drum all the way around . rears are new and fronts are in good shape . interior is really nice original . bucket seats with no rips and it has the buddy seat you can put between the buckets in good shape and still with the car . rear seat is great and headliner is in decent shape there are a couple small holes in it ., car has what i believe to be 73K original miles . all lights and gauges work except the original temp gauge because its unhooked im using a set of aftermarket temp/oil/volt gauges oil pressure cold at idle is 65 psi when warmed up its about 35 psi at 750 rpm . car has an aluminum radiator we painted black so it stays nice and coo, intake is an eddelbrock torker with a thunder series 800 car, electronic ignition conversion . this car fires right u, its fas, and sounds great . really comfortable ride and no strange noise, tires are brand new on new 15 inch steel wheels with plymouth hub caps. all glass is beautiful and works the way it shoul, wipers work . ok now the million dollar question rust????well it looks like both front floor pans have been repaired/replaced i can see that from under the car on a lift . looks and feels nice and strong . rear spring mounts had some rust and were also repaired at sometim, they used steel and a welder not tape lol... also it looks like there is a 2x2 patch in the spare tire part of the trunk that was welded in . also from inside the trunk you can see someone has replaced both lower halves of the quarter, so all the rust has been taken care of already . this isnt a show car but it gets a ton of compliments and would make an easy restoraton to show car please feel free to ask all questions . i have the original owners manual with the first two years of dealer service written in . fender tag is also with me. and the dealer delivery certificate (see Pics) . the only problem i know of with the car at all is it looks like somebody scraped up the oil pan and jb welded it . it seeps a little and should be welded or replaced the right way . other than that this car is in amazing shape for its age i took it on a 150 mile round trip two days ag, no problems at all
