1967 Plymouth Belvedere ll (Satellite GTX)
1967 Plymouth Belvedere II GTX Satellite Description
For your perusal "Hardnox" 1967 Plymouth Belvedere ll 2 Door Hardtop!I purchased this car from a concern in Pennsylvania 3 years ago who assured me it was 100% tip top freshly rebuilt and needed nothing which turned out to be anything but the truth. Another life lesson learned the hard way thus the name Hardnox! After I collected my temper and accepted the reality I dove in and began a 2 year cosmetic and mechanical rebuild. The body was straightened, blocked, sanded, primed and repainted 2 step lemon twist. The hood scoop is a fiberglass repro that was on the car when I bought it. I installed new rocker, roof rail, trim and wheel opening moldings. It is a bucket seat/console interior which shows very well. It has a custom console mounted Precision performance shifter and Oil and Temp gauges as well as a Dash mounted Mopar performance Tach. The chassis has a front disc conversion from a M body, Hotchkiss sway bar a 3.55 posi, a back-braced 8.75 housing and a new aluminum Radiator. The transmission was completely rebuilt with hemi clutch packs a quick shift kit and finished with a 2800 stall converter. The engine is a 1967 steel crank (turned .010 .010) block which was bored .030 over honed and treated to new h beam rods, KB hypereutectic Domepistons, a Hughes performance camshaft and new timing chain set, freshly powder coated Torker Intake and Holley Dual feed vac secondary 750cfm. New rod bolts high volume oil pump and Windage tray. The Cylinder heads were freshened with new seals springs and a 3 angle valve job. With a March serpentine bracket kit and pulleys Fabbed sheet metal Valve covers and free flow air cleaner she looks good and runs VERY strong.I installed an aftermarket under dash heater (the original was totally missing)The car is very solid, dry and rust free. It has bolt in frame connectors TTI Coated headers and a full 3" Dynaflow Exhaust. 15" Torq thrust wheels and nearly new rubber.I was told the car was an ex-drag car from Texas which I suspect based on the condition and equipment to be true BUT based on my experience with the seller... I cannot verify it to be fact. The Car is now a great looking, driving, riding and performing hot rod that you can drive anywhere without worry. She runs 185-190 degrees on the hottest summer days and carries 40+ Lbs of oil pressure at hot idle. Please look closely at the pictures which were taken here in the past week. If you need more info or pics feel free to txt me @ 616 308 8251 and be sure to check my feedback!!! The car is also being offered for sale locally so I reserve the right to end this auction at any time. I have the car listed with a realistic reserve so Good luck and happy bidding!
