1967 Plymouth Belvedere IIStation Wagon
1st time EVER being offered for sale.
*We'll try it this way first, everything as you see it and running. If it doesn't sell as it sits, I may list it "rolling chassis" without motor/trans.
This car has been a drag car for a VERY, VERY long time(LATE '60's, '70's,'80's, early'90's).
Car came out of Maryland and was drag raced around the NHRA North EastDistrict.
Has a genuine "class winner" decal from the 75-80 Dragway in Monrovia, MD.I do not have any information on the original builder/driver/owner of this car prior to it coming to Indiana in 2001. I do know that is had been retired from racing in the early 1990's.If anyone does recognize this car and has information on it I would GREATLY appreciate any sharing of old photos/info to make for a morethorough history to give the next owner.I've heard lots of stories but nothing verifiable.
NO...this is NOT an original "WackeeWagon" of Lee Smith's.
Nothing like that.
But it's obvious this car has been a race car for MANY years and one of the legends is that it was raced under the name "theWonderer"?Who knows.
So the car wasfound &purchased in dry storage (in MD.) and brought here to Indiana be "resurrected" .Sometimes the best laid plans never become reality due to work, family, finances, kids or just life in general.
As soon as it rolled off of the trailer here in Indiana it went back into dry storage until last Friday. First time it had seen the light of day since 2001.
Selling for a good friend/fellow MoPar enthusiast.
Here is what I know and what I can see:
*Straight, sound, pearl whitepaintedbody.*Nice "curb appeal" and shines really nice but has lower rust issues/bubbles.*Lower door corner and quarter panel acne/bubbles. Looks to have had Bondo there and in places over the wheel wells.*Solid tailgate area*Glass is all real and excellent!*Nice original dash, door panels and headliner inside.*Race weight lift off 6 pack hood*Mini tubbed (done pretty nicely for the era actually)*Sub frame connectors*Floor pans are overall VERY solid but have had some areas cut out and repaired with flat steel (looks nicely done)*Roll caged*Driveshaft loop*Hurst ratchet drag shifter*Competition Engineering adjustable front drag shocks*Autometer oil andtemp gauges*Vintage Tach (Unknown maker)*Fire extinguisher*Fuel cell*Holly electric fuelpump*Line lock*Working brakes (couple pumps gets good, firm pedal)*Long wheel studs all around*Rear Weld Racing wheels & dry rotted slicks (Good Year 29-12.5-15)*15"x4" American Racing mags with new 205-75-15 tires.

*FYI: 1967 Belvedere II Wagon 2 seat 273 V8 production was 5,583 units if anyone cares (per Allpar website). Cool to know.
Engine/Trans/Rear end:*1968 (10-17-68) 383 (was told it was "freshened up", whatever that means but no specs so...? Judging by the intake and carb I would say this is a mild, "streetable" motor with a decent bump stick.)*Forged crank motor though*906 heads (look to be clean and fairly fresh)*Mopar Purple cam (NOT 100% sure of lift/duration)*Stock intake with Carter 4BBl.*Really nice set of drag headers (unknown maker but super cool!)*Deep pan (homemade from back in the day)*Pertronix electronic ignition system (Good HOT spark!)*Old school M/T valve covers*727 completely rebuilt with ZERO run time (bone dry, never filled)*2500 stahl convertor*8.75 rear end with 4.56 Spool
((Driveshaft was removed when transmission was rebuilt and was misplaced. I am including a "large" u-joint shaft with correct 727 spline yoke for a B-Body. It seems to be the correct length for this car ))

I installed (2) new batteries and headlights, Holly Fuel pump, taillights and other electronics came on immediately.
So, I primed the oil pump, shot some ether to it and it FIRED RIGHT UP!!
Sounds STRONGbut I only run it for a few minutes at a time (no water circulation system hooked up at this time)
I was told the owner wanted to hook up an alternator, pullies and fan and drive the car street/strip but never finished it.
In a good afternoon this car could be finished out and bracket raced or driven pro street (whatever route you choose).
Anyway, here it is.Nothing to hide.
If you are local, I would encourage you to swing on by and crawl all over it. I'm always around to show the car anytime.
See my feedback so you know who you are dealing with.NO BS, NO fluff.I describe my listings just like I want things described to me with complete honesty
Clean and clear Indiana title in hand.
Trade offers will beignoredanddeleted. Nothing personal.
Thanks
