1970 Plymouth Barracuda Description

SPOILER ALERT!
THIS CAR IS NOT PAINTED RED!! ITS ONLY A RED TINTED SEALER!
Anyone looking for a good, clean, solid 70 cuda body to build will know how hard it is to find one that doesnt need a ton of rust repair and isnt stripped down to a bare shell. Well look no further. This is the car for you. It has been DA'd down to the factory primer and in some places down to the bare metal, sprayed with 2 coats of epoxy primer and sealed with a tinted red sealer to protect it while waiting for the next phase of its rejuvenation to begin. It is ready for body work, blocking and paint. It is fairly complete minus eng and trans. The original 8-3/4 rear end is still in it. It is a low optioned, non-air, manual steering and drum brakes car. It is also an original rally red with red interior car. The very first ad campaign Plymouth launched was using a red on red Hemi Cuda. That ad campaign encouraged a lot of people to order their new Barracuda with the same red on red colors as apparently the original owner of this car did as it is a "Y05" car which is a "build to spec" car. Red with red interior is STILL very popular today and if you have ever seen one in person you can see why. It is a truly visually stunning combination. With that said it does not mean the buyer of THIS car cant paint it black, green our any color he/she wants as it is a blank canvas.
It has had the full floor and trunk floor professionally replaced using the same techniques and panels as the factory did. All AMD metal which fit like a glove. It HAS NOT had the under the rear seat pan replaced. That is still orig but it was stripped, primed and sealed with rest of car. All seams were seam sealed same as factory did. It has also had drivers quarter skin replaced and pass rear lower qtr patched in below trunk floor line. The doors and fenders are orig with no rust. All frame rails are original and the underside looks as good as topside. The front and rear windshield trim is NOT installed but just sitting in place for the photo.
I have every piece of chrome trim for the car but the 2 head light bezel trims and they are available aftermarket. All the interior trim is still in the car as well. The grill is nice no missing pieces. Front and rear valances are new. This was originally a 3 speed 318 car and the orig clutch and brake pedal assy has been blasted and restored. I have a 4 speed hump that I will include if Buyer wants it. I did not install it as the Buyer may want to go another route with trans. and I wanted to leave the option open. I have all the glass for the car except windshield and no door panels but both front and rear seats. The fronts are ruff but usable and the rears are nice just needing new covers. The wheels are 15x7 centerline and need a good polishing. The tires are mismatched but still have plenty of tread left. The complete dash frame has been out, cleaned up and reinstalled including the complete orig under dash wire harness.
Please see pix as they speak for themselves. If you dont see it in the pix I dont have it. I DO have enuff parts for a complete 440 engine minus pistons and a big block 727 trans that I will sell to winning bidder for $1000. The block is a 69-71 440HP block.

AS USUAL, A WINNING BID IS NOT AN INVITATION TO INSPECT CAR! IF YOU WIN THE AUCTION I EXPECT YOU TO PAY FOR THE CAR.

VEHICLE IS AVAILABLE FOR INSPECTION BY APPT ONLY. I HAVE TRIED TO DESCRIBE THIS VEHICLES CONDITION TO THE BEST OF MY ABILITY BUT THERE IN NO ACCOUNTING FOR INDIVIDUAL TASTE. I URGE YOU TO INSPECT CAR PRIOR TO BIDDING OR SEND SOMEONE TO ACT AS YOUR AGENT.
