This fabulous Cuda was given a complete restoration about 5 years ago with originality a priority including new or renewed paint and interior, motor, transmission and rear end, front and rear suspension, power steering, stainless steel exhaust. Most of the Chrome and stainless steel is factory original not a replaced look a like and it still looks fabulous. This is not a show car so it is not selling for $125,000. But, it is a really nice high end driver that can be purchased at a reasonable price.
Smooth Driving...very reliable...ground pounding road hugging 1970 Cuda Convertible.
When I purchased the car the original owner planned to have the original engine completely gone through and updated. The original engine was removed and to date the original long block has been completely renewed with 30 thousand bore and new pistons, rings, connecting rod and crank have been installed. At the present the power is supplied by a perfectly running MOPAR high performance 383 Magnum engine. All the original motor external components like the intake, heads, cam, AFB carburetor, exhaust manifolds and distributor are original and have been transferred to the replacement engine. The engine ran so well it has never been taken out. This massive engine supplies ground pounding, romping stomping power with a huge torque curve that will shake the ground at idle. This Cuda Convertible runs like a top and starts right up every time. The original long block will come with the car and can be seen in the pictures.
All lights, turn signal and other devices work as they should except the clock and sometimes the tach.
The Cuda's Black leather interior makes driving this classic muscle car a pleasure. Backed by the famous MOPAR A-727 TorqueFlite transmission which makes it enjoyable to drive around town or highway. So much fun to go through the gears....the shifts are firm and precise (see video). This car is fast...and it has the sounds to back it up.....definitely a blast to drive. At the tail end of the drivetrain is the bullet proof Chrysler 8½ rear end with 3.23:1 gears with Heavy Duty Optioned Suspension which include Heavy Duty Torsion Bars, Heavy Duty Rear Springs and Front anti-sway bars. This Cuda Convertible provides an amazingly comfortable ride. Power Brakes with Front disc brakes make this Cuda stop really nice. It rolls on BF Goodrich P275/60R/15 radials for the correct stance and road hugging.
The body panels fits like they should. The glass is all very nice. Super comfortable factory seats. Rallye Dash with Factory Tach, Speedometer, Amp Meter and Fuel Gauge. New dash pad. Comfort features include Front Disc Brakes, Tilt Steering Wheel, Power steering, Power Brakes, Power Top.
The paint and bodywork on this car are awesome when it comes to quality and shine. The original body panels are laser straight with excellent body gaps and detail throughout. The gorgeous original Jamica Blue Metallic EB7 was professionally applied and has a "Very deep" super wet looking finish....it draws a looks and praise everywhere I go. The chrome and stainless steel throughout the car are really nice and mostly original.
You will have a hard time finding a more rare, original, better looking or performing Cuda Convertible anywhere for less than $100,000. Enjoy the ride and show off this beauty. Drive it or show it...this car will make a statement and has the horses to back it up.
