You will find five(5) YouTube videos linked below. For any potential buyers wanting to find out a greater depth of information about this car; please take a moment to check out each of the videos after reading this description...
Up for auction is a 1969 Plymouth Road Runner. It has F5 LimelightMetallic green exteriorpaint and originallycame with a white vinyl top and white factory painted pinstripes. It has a numbers matching 383 engine and 727 automatic transmission.
The engine needs to be rebuilt and is currentlyinoperable but spins over freely, see YouTube video (#1)linked below. The numbers on the title, dash VIN, fender tag, engine block, transmission, upper core support and trunk weatherstrip lip all match. YouTube video (#2)linked below demonstratesthis well. The Broadcast sheet was used for a nest by the mice and only a few shredsof it remain. This car has a "489" casting 8-3/4" rear differential with 3.23 gears. The whitebucket seat interior is original and complete other than the carpeting. Note that the back window, headliner along with related moldings, trim pieces, and hardware are bagged, tagged and stowedin the trunk and included in this listing. Auto body work performed to the car includes driver side inner fender and lower core support replaced with AMD reproduction body metal by a local auto body shop. Aside from that, the entire interior was stripped and sand blasted before being sprayed with Martin Senour Rust/Proof MD.Although a few auto body challenges remain, overall this car is structurally sound, rust wise, from presumably spending most of it's life in the Pacific Northwest area, and stored inside for the past 18 years. To get a better look of the undercarriage and drivetrain, check out YouTube video (#4) linked below. Other than that, a key attribute I admire about this car is how complete and original it is right down to just about every factory original nut and bolt. YouTube video (#3) linked below, catalogsmany of the factory original parts and components found on this car.
As I watch many of the classic car listings these days, I find it's getting harder and harder to find a solid, original, project car to begin a really great restoration project with. Happy Bidding!!!
A few logistical items to cover: the car's steering works and the brakes have been recently bled with fresh brake fluid which adequatelystops the car. The tires maintaintire pressure and the automatic transmission can hold the car in park. That said, this car can be rolled onto a trailerand picked up locally and/or shipped anywhere. This at the full expense of the winning bidder, of course. Please note the automotive battery shown in the pictures was used for demonstrational purposesonly and is NOT included in this listing.
Finally, You Tube video
