1964 Plymouth Valiant 8 Miles Red 273ci V8 4-Speed Manual
1964 Plymouth Other Description
GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this 1974 Plymouth Valiant Signet. This particular Valiant has just recently received a full refresh inside and out. This model hosted a 273ci V8 engine - this vehicle still has its original engine and transmission, both recently rebuilt to a stock spec other than a slightly upgraded cam in the motor. Features include; 2bbl carburetor, commando package, 8.75 rear axle, Hurst shifter, bucket seats, functioning heater, radio, owners manuals, and photos of the restoration. With a couple of parts and a little bit of time, this could show to be an amazing showpiece to add to a collection or to be enjoyed at car shows! Please give a call or email us today for more information!
The 1964 Valiant was the first redesign since its inception and sported a trim, squared-up shape, similar in some respects to the style popularized by the Ford Thunderbird of the era. The grille was essentially an upside-down trapezoid and the fender line ran all the way down the side from front to back, where it curved back over the front wheel and faded out. The V100 was the base car, the V200 had more options, and the V200 Signet was top of the line not just for its model but of that era. The Valiant model all hosted a slant six-cylinder engines of 170 cid or 225 cdi, with 101 or 145 hp. The base model offered two- and four-door sedans and a station wagon, while the V200 added a convertible. The Valiant Signet, meanwhile, was only available as a two-door hardtop or convertible. Nearly one-fifth of Plymouth's half million units during the 1963 model year were Valiants.
