Streamliner - Silver Streak 8 - Police Interceptor Model (optimal 113HP @3600 RPM engine, Tan leatherette interior and no radio)
Runs well and that strait eight purrs.
Won the Concours d'Elegance Award at the Pontiac-Oakland Club International show in 2003 were it received a 400/400 when judged by three separate panels of judges.
All original barn find with new tires and re-built brake cylinders. Features low sleek envelope body.
Streamliner coupes and sedans utilized the fastback B-body shell.
This is amazing example of an all original example of a 1950 built motorcar of no comparison.
Original Strait flathead "Silver-Streak 8" engine. Originally from Red Rock Arkansas.
The original owner saw the New Police Chief's car and immediately ordered one.
Optional, heavy duty suspension, heavy duty heater Silver Streak 8 (Police interceptor model).
Drove it 1200 miles and had a heart attack. Sat Garaged for 35 years, till it was sold to next owner where they put another 2500 miles over the next ten years.
Then they sold the car to finance new church pews. The next owner rescued the car and sent it to the Pontiac Nationals in Oakland where it won Best in show.
It was in such good condition the organizers of the event couldn't accept the 400/400 score and had it scored by three independent panels, where it still received the 400/400 score.
Completely original interior, nothing has been 'touched up'. Original chrome, bumper, exterior rubber...nearly flawless.
A true time capsule form 1950 includes mint condition 1950 California license plates. Under carriage is dusty, but all original, never sprayed - amazing condition.
