1955 Pontiac Other Description

The Custom Starchief model was the top of the line offering for 1955. Pontiac introduced it's first modern V8 over head value engine which won engineering awards for it's innovated design in particular it's valve train which Chevy borrowed for it's engine. A timeless body design that saw it's distinctive side molding become an instant favorite among the custom car enthusiast and most recently mimicked today by Gray Hound Bus lines. The car was purchased in Wyoming, a state noted for it's well preserved cars. Only rust is as follows, small quarter size rust area in the low driver side just before rear wheel opening and a few small holes in drivers side floor (easily repairable) and of course the surface rust. Windshield has a crack. Left rear quarter has some damage but minor. Have nice replacement molding and back up lights. Good tires on original rims. Engine will start with a splash of gas. Oil is clean and no sludge build up in the valve train. Easy car to restore, and quite an attention getter in this beautiful color combination even the way it is now. Car is sold as is. Had it mixed up with another parts car I'm selling.
