1968 Pontiac GTO Deluxe Description

*** STUNNING - EVERY NUT AND BOLT - BODY-OFF - ROTISORIE - RESTORED - REAL NUMBERS MATCHING 1968 GTO . REBUILT ORIGINAL NUMBERS MATCHING 360HP HO 400 CID V8 MOTOR WITH MANUAL TRANSMISSION! . 100 ADDITIONAL PICTURES BELOW! *** WOW!! Look at this GORGEOUS 1968 Pontiac GTO that is REAL GTO NOT A CLONE!! This car was bought from the second owner in Idaho and had been fully restored. This isn't your typical Restoration that someone did in their garage. This... was every nut and bolt, FRAME OFF RESTORED over the last 5 years right here in Idaho. WITH LESS THAN 300 MILES since restoration. I have driven this car several times and it is UNBELIEVABLY FAST yet is easy to drive in everyday traffic. It has the tire roasting power you want in town, it will raise the front end when you put the pedal down and has no wheel hop. I took it on the freeway it got up to 80 in no time with tons of pedal left, cruised at 65 MPH at 2500 RPM The reserve on this car is not cheap but if you look at the picture above and the 100 additional pictures below and read this description carefully I think the reserve is fair for the car considering all the time and money (Over $70,000.00) that obviously was spent on this car !!. THIS IS A QUALITY CAR FOR SURE!! Let's start with the engine which is a Numbers Matching, REBUILT, HO 9790071 Casting number360HP 400 CID V8 motor with VIN number is on the block (pictured below) WS block. Pictures of head and intake numbers are shown in the pictures and it is running AWESOME. The transmission is a smooth floor mounted three speed Manual transmission that also was gone through and backed-up with the rebuilt Original Multi leaf 10 bolt rear end, with brand new Posi. Sounds AWESOME too with custom dual Flowmaster exhaust. Nothing sounds better than when you lay the hammer down on a built V8 with the right exhaust system, WOW! This car has had those little touches that you only get with a Master Builder like smoothed firewall seams, etc... It has New Power front disc brakes, Power steering with a new box and pump, all the steering and suspension components are new, Brad new A-Arm bushings and HD Front Sway Bar. THIS IS BETTER THAN A NEW CAR! Next let's move on to the exterior and interior. The exterior paint was originally code “EE” Aegena Blue Paint. The current color the super popular Code 72 Carousel Red, or in Chevy world “Hugger Orange”. This car was stripped to bare metal. The metal work was then done, and every dent was taken out in metal! Then it was bare metal acid etched and primed and blocked and blocked and blocked some more. Then painted with high quality Base Clear system and three stages of wet sanding and buffing. It is truly a mirror finish. It has a fiberglass “Ram Air” hood. The body was painted underneath before reassembly as you can see. The interior is also new with new Black front bucket seats, new rear black bench seat and new sun visors, new dash and dash pad, nice original style wood sport steering wheel, new black carpeting and door panels and AM/FM/IPOD/MP3/USB/AUX/Bluetooth digital stereo from Pioneer and speaker in the factory front and rear positions, factory dash gauges including the Hood mounted Tachometer, and dual chrome exterior mirrors with drivers remote. All the rubber weather stripping has been replaced, all new Stainless-Steel Brake and fuel lines, new Stainless Steel fuel Tank, it really has too much to list. Car has 18" Chrome American Racing Wheels with Kumho Performance Steel-belted Radial tires. THIS IS A REAL PONTIAC GTO that has had a show winning restoration done on it. This is a VERY unique and solid car which any Camaro enthusiast would love to own! As usual I have tried to be as in depth and thorough with the pictures as possible. I have looked underneath and taken pictures of the undercarriage below and as you can clearly see it is immaculate, so clean you could eat off it. As mentioned EVERY nut and Bolt was replaced or refurbished. This car has all its original floor pans and trunk pans and they are as nice on this car as you can get. You can even see the factory spot welds along the bottom of the rocker panels in the pictures.
