1959 Pontiac Catalina Vista Hardtop
1959 Pontiac Catalina 4 door hardtop Description
Did you get another tie for Father's Day? Here is your chance to look even better while wearing that tie.
This is a 1959 Pontiac Catalina. This is one of General Motors very cool 4 door Vista hardtops. Just look at that rear window! Chevrolet and Oldsmobiles are fairly common but when was the last time you saw a 59 Pontiac? Always gets the love at shows. Even people who don't like 4 doors say they love this car. We love it too but there are other projects that are calling (wish I could keep them all). We have had a lot of fun with this car and would like to see somebody else enjoy it also.

This car is in great condition for being 60 years old. Motor runs great with no smoke or drama. Transmission shifts like it should every time. Power steering is 60's GM easy. Power brakes work fine.
Since buying the car 6 years ago with 43,000 original miles, we have driven 14,000 miles. Long trips, short trips, it doesn't matter. She handles them all with ease. I would not hesitate to hop in and drive anywhere in this car.
Everything except basic wear items (fuel pump, hoses, plugs, belts) is original. ORIGINAL paint, ORIGINAL interior, ORIGINAL engine and trans, ORIGINAL glass.
You can see in the pictures just how sweet she is.
Is she perfect? No. She is 60 years old. Has a FEW minor scrapes and scratches. The driver's seat has a small wear spot and yes...some VERY minor rust. Both lower front fenders have rust as seen in the pictures. The body mount at the rear wheel well also has a little. All are very common to 59-60 Pontiacs. That is the only rust in the car.
Everything in the car works. Radio, wipers, all lights, windows, door locks and latches, parking brake, heater and horn.
Absolutely NO rust in the hood, rockers, toe boards, floor boards, trunk floor, rear panel, deck lid, wheel arches, quarter panels or frame. This has been a dry Colorado car since new.
Now for the "legal" stuff.
The car is sold "as is" "where is" with no warranty implied or expressed. A $1000 non refundable deposit is required within 48 hours of auction close. The car is located in Watkins, CO and can be stored for up to 30 days provided that the balance is paid in full within 7 days. Title will be not be transferred until full payment is received.
