I've listed my 1967 Pontiac Beaumont under 1967 Pontiac GTO because there is no ebay category for Beaumont. The reason that Ichose GTO is because the 2 vehiclesappear to bevery similar (for example the dash, most body members and the roof line). Its also a cousin of the 1967 Chevrolet Chevelle.
1967 Pontiac Beaumont (the Canadian Pontiac version of the Chevelle SS or GTO) Chevy 454 Big Block, Borg-Warner Super T-10 4 speed transmission and a factory 12 Bolt Posi with 3:55 gears.
I purchased this car in 1999 as a solid project car. The car went into the body shop for Professional restoration. Although this was not a frame off restoration, the paint was totally stripped down to bare metal and received new full rear quarter panels and bottom front fender caps on both sides. The floor throughout the car was in good solid condition including the floor of the trunk. The upholstery was done professionally as well except for the kick panels, headliner and armrests. The car has been sitting in my garage for 20 years. It's only been driven a minimal amount of times always in nice sunny weather. This car is not a numbers matching show car but it does turn heads everywhere it goes.
The 454 came out of a 3/4 ton truck that had very low miles. Although the motor came out of a truck it was a passenger engine. The motor wasn't rebuilt at the time. However the top end was worked on. The camshaft was changed out, new lifters, gaskets changed, double roller timing chain installed. Hedman hedders were purchased and installed. A four core radiator was installed. The car is equipped with 2 1/2" dual exhaust featuring Super turbo mufflers. The tailpipes were custom bent to dump just behind the rearwheels.
Please note: The previous owner of this car registered it under a different serial number as someone had removed the originalserial number plate from the car years beforehand. When searched the VIN will come up as being a 4 door 6 cylinder car. The car's cowl tag indicates that the car is a Sport Deluxe.
