1969 pontiac grand prix CALIFORNIA SURVIVOR
1969 Pontiac Grand Prix Model J Description
1969 Pontiac Grand Prix Model J. 66,900 original miles. This is a 3 owner California survivor car that is still wearing its original paint. The interior is all original as well. Car has always been garage kept and well maintained. I purchased this car in 2017 from the 2nd owner who owned the car since 1972.
Since purchasing the car I have done the following to make it a reliable daily driver. Recent work includes: New 60 series BF Goodrich Radial T/A tires. New timing chain and timing cover. New water pump. New front brakes pads and calipers. New master cylinder. New valve cover gaskets.. at which time I installed OEM chrome valve covers that I had laying around. The car runs and drives excellent. I would not hesitate to drive this car anywhere.
The exterior is in excellent original condition. The paint is original and still shines and presents very well for being 50 years old.. Being original paint it does show some flaws.. chips.. nicks.. dings.. touch-ups.. etc.. The bumpers and trim are in excellent original condition. This is a rust free Central Valley California car that has lived its entire life in the local area...
The interior is in pristine excellent all original condition. The interior is completely original including the carpet. The seats are original and do not show any wear or fading(the lighting in the pictures makes some areas look faded.. they are not faded). The dash and door panels are excellent originals and do not have any splits or cracks and are soft to the touch. The headliner is excellent as is the package tray.
The car is mechanically sound. The numbers matching 400 is rated at 350 horsepower and runs excellent. The turbo 400 transmission shifts great. The car is very tight and solid. It is a pleasure to drive and gets compliments everywhere it goes.
I do have a clean and clear California title in my name. The car is currently registered until 2020.
