1969 Pontiac GTO Description
Total body off frame, show quality restoration. #s match, Pontiac Historical service documented. Awesome factory colors colors. I bought this car from a top notch restorer then sold it to a good customer a few years ago. He is a knowledgeable, fussy collector. He spent a couple thousand $ and made it even better. It's detailed and dialed in.
EXTERIOR: Claimed to be original metal. This car is laser beam straight, panels fit square and flush. Front rubber bumper fits perfectly. The paint is like white glass, polished out beautifully. The rear spoiler was precision fitted. All the stainless trim was polished, even the door locks. New chrome remote mirror, door handles, bumper, marker lights, etc. New taillights (the metal ones, not plastic). Correct antenna. Hideaway headlights open and close quickly. Rally ll wheels are restored with correct lug nuts and center caps. Has reproduction Firestone redline tires. The door jambs are detailed out. Weather strips and window seals were replaced. New windshield, windows fit nice. Has a real nice black top with glass window.
INTERIOR: Factory dark red interior looks great against the white. It features bucket seats, console, tilt deluxe wheel, reproduction floor mats, working clock, factory Am-Fm radio. Everything looks excellent- the dash pad, door panels, armrest, console, heater controls, mirror, visors etc. Interior lights work, clock is ticking.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: VIN number match 400-350 hp engine. The motor compartment is highly detailed to factory new. Has a clean coat of Pontiac aqua paint, the correct valve covers and air cleaner lid were rechromed. All the hoses, vacuum lines and wiring are proper. Has cadmium plated brake booster, washers are hooked up. Has spring clamp battery cables. The metal finishes are all smooth satin black. Has hood insulation. I'll definitely be displaying the hood open on this one.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Has power trunk release. Very clean metal. The spatter finish paint was sprayed from a gun, more durable and looks better the from a can. Has a correct trunk mat, a rally ll wheel for a spare and restored jack. Bottom of the trunk lid is painted glossy, new decals. The jamb is glossy, new weatherstrip. Trunk light works.
UNDERSIDE: Original, clean metal floors. The floors and chassis were cleaned and painted gloss black. It's all detailed out, even has assembly line markings and decals. Front end was completely rebuilt. Bottom of the motor is clean, new starter. #s match Turbo 400 auto is clean. Fuel tank, sending unit, lines are new. Flowmaster exhaust system with correct tips. New brake system- disc in front, new lines, hoses, e-brake assembly etc. It's sharp under here.
This is a great car. It also functions as good as it looks. Investment grade- #s match, documented and highly restored to factory specs. The next owner will be very satisfied!
