1991 Porsche 911 Carrera 4 Description

IMMACULATE 2-OWNER 1991 PORSCHE 911 CARRERA C4 CABRIOLET !

VIN# WPOCB2961MS461986

This pristine example of Porsche’s vastly improved “964 Series” (SEE BELOW) is dressed in the timeless livery of Midnight Metallic Blue covered by a brand new navy blue German-style canvas top with its crystal clear rear window over a cashmere beige leather interior. This car is equipped with a 5-speed manual, A/C, power seats, windows, mirrors, cruise control, CD player and custom built-in K40 radar detector. Most importantly this car has a mere 57,400 miles and its meticulous care is evident when one looks at its' glistening "ding-free" body panels, immaculate interior, curb rash-free 17" Cup rims adorned by the "colored" Porsche crests and its' spotless engine bay. The 3.6 litre six cylinder air/oil-cooled, horizontally opposed, dry-sump lubrication, rear-mounted engine has a compression ratio: 11.3 : 1 and produces 247 HP at 6,100 rpm.

The car has just been freshly serviced by a noted Porsche specialist and all the fluids were changed, including oil change, oil filter, brake fluid, and the fuel filter. The front hood struts were replaced at the time as well as the AC was converted from the old R12 over to R134 and blows ice cold. The car has also had a recent new clutch. The car is riding on four brand new Dunlop Direzza DZ102 tires. As would expect of a car of this caliber, it comes with owner's manual, all documentation, tools, service records and custom car cover. This second owner Porsche (since 1992) has always been garaged, never been smoked in, nor driven in the winters. We accept PayPal for deposit only. History of the 964

The Porsche 964 was the company's internal name for the Porsche 911 manufactured and sold between 1989 and 1994. It featured significant styling revisions over previous 911 models, most prominently the more integrated bumpers. The 964 was considered to be 85% new as compared to its predecessor, the Carrera 3.2. The first 964's were available as all-wheel drive equipped "Carrera 4" models. A new naturally aspirated engine called the M64 was used for 964 models, with a flat-6 displacement of 3.6 litres. Porsche substantially revised the suspension, replacing torsion bars with coil springs and shock absorbers. Power steering and ABS brakes were added to the 911 for the first time; both were standard. The exterior bumpers and fog lamps became flush with the car for better aerodynamics. A new electric rear spoiler raised at speeds above 50 mph (80 km/h) and lowered down flush with the rear engine lid at lower speeds. A revised interior featured standard dual airbags beginning in 1990 for all North American production cars. A new automatic climate control system provided improved heating and cooling. Revised instrumentation housed a large set of warning lights that were tied into the car's central warning system, alerting the driver to a possible problem or malfunction. The suspension was redesigned using coil springs instead of torsion bars, the first major engineering changes since the original 911. The front suspension used MacPherson struts, a system that has continued for all subsequent versions, but the rear suspension retained semi-trailing arms.
