1988 Porsche 944 Turbo s Description
Up for sale is my Porsche 944 Turbo S. I recently bought it at the beginning of this year and the only reason I am selling it is because my wife and I are expecting and it just doesn't make sense to keep it right now.
Less than 76,000 Miles, less than 3,000 miles per year
Comes with a car cover.
This Porsche was purchased and had been kept here in the St. Louis metro area the entire time. It has have extensive work and upgrades done to it all done by Reid Vann here in St. Louis. Including an engine rebuild (by choice, not necessity) in 2001 to up it to a 3.0L.I have records from the rebuild in 2001 and have all the records from what I had done to it since I purchased it. When I originally purchased it, I did not anticipate selling it this soon so I had invested quite a bit into it thinking I'd keep it, but things change. In March 2017 I had the timing bel, water pump, all fluids changed, AC compressor replaced, new exhaust and more done. Other than your standard oil change, this car is good to go for a long time. My loss is your gain.
I am not just saying this, but this is an incredibly fast car and I am not looking forward to letting it go.Here is a list of all the major work, with dates and price at the time, that had been done to it. The total upgrade in 2001 alone was almost $26,000I have copies of everything that I am listing plus additional receipts.

This car is ready to go for a long time. It is not only a fast car, but it is anextremely fun car to drive. Car and Driver hadpreviously called the Porsche 944 the best handling car. The next thing I would change on this car would be the paint. I would say it is a 7 foot paint, maybe at worst a 10 foot. There are some blemishes on the body of the paint. On the hood there is a spot where the paint was not filled in properly and there is a round blemish (see the last picture) The front and rear bumpers do have some light damage to them, but overall are not bad. The rims also have some scuffs. Theinterior is in good condition. The seats do have some small wear spots at the seams. Since these are not very major repairs, they were next on my list to get completed, but I never got around to them. The dash is in great condition. As with any car, I wouldrecommend to ask as many questions as you have and encourage for you to come inspect it or have someone inspect it on your behalf. I do not want to hide anything or misrepresent this car. I have been burned before on cars and I know the feeling. Classic cars, and this Porsche 944 Turbo S especially, is something special that is meant to be enjoyed. I want to make sure that when this car is purchased the buyer is happy and is able to enjoy it as much as I did.
Our youngest son has sever food allergies and 5% of the sale price will go to F.A.R.E. which is an organization that brings awareness to people about life threatening food allergies, especially in children.
Should you have any questions, please feel free to contact me and I will respond immediately and answer to the best of my ability. I ran out of the available pictures I could post, so please let me know if you want to see anymore and I will send them over.
