1984 Porsche 928 S Coupe 2-Door 4.7L Project, Runs, Drives
1984 Porsche 928 S Coupe 2-Door Description
1st off. I'm 100% honest about everything I sell in my store. I value my reputation highly. If you want to know something, just ask.I bought this 84 for my wife so we would have matching 928s. Mine is a 86 and I still have it. It's pretty much in the same condition as when I bought it in 2014, a running and driving project. I had plan to restore it(paint and interior needs), but it is too low for my wife to get in it now, so I need to sell it. I will list the goods 1st and then the bads.
We have driven it very little, had full coverage insurance on it since 2014, even glass coverageand road service. We may have put 500 miles on it. We last drove it in 2016, which is the reason for the "but..." below.Clear Texas blue title in my name.$14,000.00+ was spent on the car by the previous owner. Engine, transmission, tires, etc. You will get all the receipts I received.(this was the reason I bought the car)1984 928 was the fastest production car in 1984(I personally think it's faster than my 86).I put in a new battery in 2014 and a new fuel pump 2 months ago.It does have the posi(limited slip) rear end(it's worth about $2000+ by itself) very rare and hard to find!! I was going to put it in my 86, but decided to let it stay with the car.Does run and drive, but...Oh, I forgot, I have the carfax that came with the car.The previous owner let the car sit in the Texas sun for a long time and it just ruinedthe interior and paint or he bought that way and was restoring it, I don't know. The interior is apart and all parts are in the car. Back seats are in great condition, not mounted. Looks to me like they were working on it. Has a dash cap on the dash.Paint job needed. Has a newer rear deck lid with the 3rd brake light. I did have it painted(Porsche color) to match the car better(it was green).Missing front air dam and grill.but... we let the car sit for 2 months without starting it in early 2017. The fuel pump and 3 injectors clogged up(thank you 10% ethanol junk gas!). I replaced the fuel pump and 1 injector. I do have 1 known good injector that will come with the car(on the seat in a bag in the picture). You are going to have to buy the 3rd and put the 2 injectors in on the passenger side yourself, I'm done spending and working on it.Please look at the pictures, they tell the story. There are some extra parts that will come with the car.- Extra intake, injector rails, pressure regulators, air flow meter and throttle body.
- air flow meter is good.
- throttle body is good.
- I don't know if the injectors are good(I think these came with the engine when they bought it). They are probably bad or need cleaning. I did not test them. Maybe you can use 1 of them for the repair.
- Tires are getting hard, so I will call them bad.
- I do have the original rear deck lid with glass, bad defrost element you can have also.
- Car comes with everything inside or on the car, nothing else. Sold as is, where is and you pick it up, or arrangeshipping. I can help load if necessary. Must be paid in full before car will be released. Paypal for non refundable deposit only. Non refundable because auto listings cost $$. No credit card payments. No electronic payments. Will only accept cash at pick up. Will accept cashier's check(10 day hold for clearing if I can't verify). Personal and business checks must be from a USbank(10-15 day hold).
