19860000 Porsche 944 turbo Description

The motor is out of a 2000 Camaro SS, all aluminum 5.7 LS1 with 80 k miles, I have no documentation for the motor, but it has been run approximately 5 k miles and dyno tested with no issues, compression testing showed 195 to 200 psi across all cylinders, the following has been done to it.

All new parts (unless noted) as follows :

Idle air control, throttle position sensor, temperature sensor, map sensor, both knock sensors and harness, both O2 sensors and all seals and gaskets on motor.

Timing chain and sprockets with a TFS timing chain damper and cam retention plate and hardware, oil and water pump, harmonic balancer, serpentine belt, starter, Optima red top battery

GM LS6 cam ( cam had 56 miles on it ) and new lifters and buckets, stock push rods, rockers have been fitted with a crane trunion kit, and new blue LS6 valve springs, heads are studded, aluminum fuel rails withfreshly cleaned and o-ringed injectors.

Heads are 853 castings that have been reworked by Mark Small Engines in Westminster Md. pressure tested, valve job, milled, spring pressures set etc.

LS6 intake with all new gaskets, oil catch can.

Texas Performance Concepts conversion kit including headers (exhaust is all new) corvette 2 piece bell housing, all new clutch and pressure plate, new clutch master cylinder and slave with Tick remote bleeder, trans axle flushed and filled with redline synthetic fluid, new axles and cv joints and upgraded trans mount (80 durometer urethane)

Ford hydro boost with new Turn One power steering pump specifically for the 944 rack, all new hoses, red line synthetic p/s fluid, brakes and rotors were replaced by the previous owner.

Aluminum swap specific radiator with new thermostat in a canton swivel neck, and coolant crossover both front and rear of theheads.

Custom length MSD wires and custom coil mounts and extension harness, GM ECU and harness, tuned by Complete Street Performance in West Chester Pa. car made 365 rwhp and 355 Rwtq, runs great with no drivability issues, I have the dyno sheet.

New windshield and struts, new coverall dash cover, seats are in very good condition with no rips or tears, sunroof works, all gauges work, all lights work, pioneer AM/FMCD player

Simmons (Australia) 18 inch OM series, 3 piece wheels custom made for the car

And all the little 25 and 50 + dollar parts it takes to put it all together. I have most of the receipts and many from the previous owner.

Chassis currently has 101017 miles on it, will go up as I still drive it. The tach stopped working and the entire cluster was replaced with an N/A unit since there was no need to have a boost needle any more, the original cluster read 98131 miles, the “new” cluster read 178434 when installed, it currently reads 181320 so 2886 miles have been driven with the new cluster, if you add 2886 to the 98131 that was on the old cluster the mileage comes to 101017, I have photos of the install that clearly show both gauges, pictures of the install and I have the original cluster to verify that the mileage corresponds to the mileage on the title.

Items to note :

There is some cracking on the sunroof where it was dropped on a corner by a previous owner, it does not leak and looks to be just the outer layer of the top, there is one area of the stone guard in front of the drivers side rear tire that looks to be compromised, I do not believe that there is a rust issue, there is no rust on the car anywhere, I think it may have been an issue of contamination when the stone guard was applied. There are pictures of both areas provided.

The drivers seat is power and sometimes the front motor (there is a front and rear motor) is intermittent, I believe it is a loose connection going into the motor and I will try to address itbefore it's sold, no promises but I will try. Car has H4 headlights and the Porsche spare wheel / tire, jack and compressor.

In my opinion the car is an 8.5 to 9 and that is being very picky, it always draws a crowd, and has been on numerous 400 + mile trips. I urge anyone that is serious to come and inspect it before bidding. I have a 100% feedback rating and have sold a few cars and motorcycles and that feedback should be viewable. If the winning bidder comes to pick up the car and it is not as described I will refund the deposit minus any fees incurred from EBay and they can go on their way with no issues. I will assist buyer accommodating a shipper if needed. I can store the car for a short time and we can discuss if needed.

I would be happy to answer any questions or supply pictures of any area of interest. The car is for sale locally so I reserve the right to end auction early, but I will not end it once it hits the reserve. I am an honest seller and ask for the same from a buyer, I want this to be a good transaction for both parties and will do my best to make sure it is, please do not bid if you are not sure this is what you want, please make sure you have funding in place before bidding.

I am available to show the car or to discuss any details with a potential buyer, my cell is 443-280-7843, please be respectful and call before 8:30 pm eastern time, anytime after 7 am works. If there are any questions please call !

The car is sold as is, no warrantee implied. Any checks must clear my bank before the car is released.

Thank you,

Jim
