1972 Porsche 911 S Targa Description
1972 Porsche 911S. Silver with arecent respray. Fully documented car. Includes approximately 100 maintenance records. Original Owners Manual and Warranty Record Card. Even have copies of theoriginal purchase agreement and anoriginal invoice showing matching engine serial number. Certificate of Authenticity available. Transmission case was replaced in the mid-80s. VIN 9112310876. Purchased from the original owner a few months ago, zero rust, no accident car. 270K miles on chassis. Engine rebuild with about 60K miles. Transmission rebuild with about 2K miles. The car was originally sold at Brumos Porsche in Jacksonville, FL for $11,794. Nearly $120,000 spent over the life of the car on maintenance. #876 of total 989 cars in production. Very rare - 1972 is the only year with the exterior oil fill tank behind the passenger door. 50mm flares were added in the mid-80s. Currently running PMOs with approximately 7K miles on them. MSD electronic ignition. Over $22,000 spent in last two and half years on engine and transmission rebuild/maintenance. Factory AC, original and working Blaupunkt Frankfurt radio (but needs to be reconnected to a speaker), “S” gauges, original spoiler and front oil cooler, recently rebuilt Targa top, dash has no cracks. New valve cover gaskets. Original tool kit, jack, and spare. New carpet kit interior and front trunk liner. Correct engine bay stickers, dual batteries (using only one at the moment). New door seals and thresholds. Door pockets and panels all intact and working properly.
