1976 Porsche 912 Description

I previously ran two traditional eBay auctions on this car, successfully ending on Jun02 and again on Jul03, the problem was neither winner could pay for the car.

Tuesday 8/7 Update:

This is listing #3 and I’m changing it up to a reverse auction. I’ve lowered theBuy It NOWto 26k. Each day, I will lower the price $500.00 (beginning Wednesday through Saturday afternoon) until someone hopefully buys this very nice 912E. I rate this vehicles condition in-between a #3 and #2 using the Hagerty Valuation Tool.Please...if you like the car, make sure you are able to follow-thru with the purchase, Thanks.

In the 2nd photo is the original owner holding the service records folder. A little old school teacher from WA(honest...)who drove the car in fair weather. This car is in original and un-restored condition and has no rust or corrosion. The car still wears its original carpets, upholstery, and most of its finish/paint.

Records folder included. I just replaced the original tires in the last several months (I have a photo), and they had tread remaining, but were too checked to continue.Recent service includes valve adjustment, updated modern speedometer electronics, new OEM speed sensor, RHD wiper arms and reversed wiper mechanism, new manual antenna.Unlikely this car has seen any driving in rainy weather as evidenced by clean wheel wells and undercarriage.

The previous owner repaired the VDO speedometer years ago, and after some recent records research, the odometer was professionally re-set (by Palo-Alto Speedometer in CA) to near actual mileage plus or minus several hundred, and the speedometer was also updated with modern electronics. 1976 was the 1st year for non-mechanical speedos, which supports the fact that many 912E'shave non-working original odometers. I have added only 500 miles of the 139k indicated miles during my ownership.

Several items needing attention: LH door check is broken, sunroof needs either track lubrication or cable replacement, spare LH door speaker grill needs installing, couple paint touch-up areas need wet sanding or buffing, steering wheel needs recovering, and the 3rdgear synchro is out, however it shifts very smoothly with a double-clutch from 2nd to 3rd renderingthis an non-urgent repair. The only aftermarket item non-original is the dual Ansa exhaust, and she still wears the factory thermal-reactors. The factory 14" Fuch's have no-rash or damage, and the dash-top is perfect and undamaged.

I have owned three 912’s over the years and this is the cleanest original I’ve ever come across and will not disappoint.
