914 Porsche 2.0 original paint L80E light ivory low miles
1974 Porsche 914 2.0 Description
Selling my 74 Porsche 914 2.0L running project carthis car runs and drive, but will need some work or restoration in most areas on the carthere is some rust under the quarter panels and the jack mounts are rusted the "Hell hole however is not in bad shape and is not rusted out and is still very solid in there. the floor pans are solid and the interior is in decent condition not ratty like most of these cars! The Barnum tires were new about 4 years ago but have hardly been driven.the wheels are not original but in good condition. the car has been converted to carbs and I believe it has 40mm Webers on it . the car starts and runs well and was just in for a carb tune up and a new coil to the tune of $700.00 last wee, the carbs are Weber 40's and it is Jetted big ( came from California ) so its always a little cold blooded in the winter months in Colorado, but once its warmed up it idles and runs well no transmission shifting issues it drives wellthe car runs and drives motor and Trans does not appear to to leak anything the lights function up and down but only the high beam works the brakes work but I thing there is some air in the brake lines so it could use a brake bleed.the Battery is good and holds solid charge, the targa top does not leak and still looks great, all glass is intact with no cracksthe car was in a light front collision at some point in its life before my ownership, and you can see the damage in one of the pics the hood was from another 914 and is a different white.the front bumper is from a different year 914 as I assume it was damaged in the collisionthe collision does not appear to have been big as the car still drivers straight and the damage is minimal it was driven for about 12 years after the incident.
horn is disconnected as it sometimes goes off when the wheel is turned.
as stated there is marginal rust on this car but its still alot better than most 914s I have seen! the" hell hole " by the battery is not rusted out which is a good sign these cars all rusted unless they were overly babied indoors, so before buyin, know that there is rust by the rear headlights, in the jack points, in the door jambs and is some areas underneath. the side skirts are missing the clips that holds them in place on the underside so they are hanging
I urge you to come and inspect the car before purchasing it to make a full assessment for your self
I dont think I will be able to take any more pictures before the auction is over so come see it if you want to see more of the carthe engine is the original 2.0 Engine
buyer must arrange shipping pickup I will not ship it
this is an original 2.0 car with the original engine. and transmission
