1970 Porsche 911T ultimate barn find builder Complete and not a rust bucket
1970 Porsche 911 T; RS plus stock appearance group Description
If you are looking to restore an early 911 this is your chance to own one of the the best available. I have owned this car since 1991. At that time it was stripped to bare metal and painted Guards red. The interior is completely original, no rips, tears, or dead padding. The seats, carpet and dash will clean up and are in excellent condition for their age. The headliner is original and suffers from a horrible attempt to dye it, before I bought it, and needs to be redyed or replaced (no holes, tears, or sags). All glass is original, not cloudy, and no cracks in the windshield. The car was born a 911T and was built to mimic the 72 RS platform and sports fiberglass front bumper and ducktail deck lid along with the fiberglass rear bumper filler panel and OEM Porsche filler strip and aftermarket roll bar. As shown, the original bumper covers, bumperettes and deck lid are included in the sale so the car can be returned to the original body configuration, no modifications to fender flares or so forth have been made, the main body is completely original. I have more photos for serious buyers, I could only load 24. All of the trim and light lenses are in the car, are original and are at least driver quality. I repaired a minor dent on the passenger fender, deer hit me sitting still, and was in the process of repainting when it went into dry storage 24 years ago hence the trim pulled and yellow primer. It includes 5 period correct Fuch alloys and an OEM steel spare rim. There is only one spot of rust in the entire car, over the right front suspension mount as shown in the photos, the floorboards are original with no rust and there have been no underside repairs aside from the suspension mount, which was poorly repaired before I bought the car as shown. There are no signs of any collision damage on this car. The brake and fuel system will need to be completely redone and I would replace the lower suspension pan while the fuel tank is out. This car also has the very rare, dealer AC system. It is complete and functioned when the car was placed into storage. The engine ran fine when parked (parked because we moved away) and sports the original Solex carburetors. The Porsche reports no longer validate engine serialnumbers so I didn't waste money on that. The engine serial number is 6108322, which is the correct engine code and serialnumber range for this car but I have no way to verify that it is in fact the original engine to the car. I am available to answer any questions from serious buyers, I hate to part with this car but know I will not get around to restoring it any time soon and hate to see it set. The car is located in Southern Arkansas, it is NOT an Illinois car. The mileage listed is not correct, I did not write it down when taking photos but allgauges and the odometer did work correctly when the car was last on the road.
