1969 Porsche 911 S
1969 Porsche 911 S Description
1969 Porsche 911S
For the model year 1969 Porsche decided to increase the wheelbase of the 911 by moving the rear wheels back by just over two inches to help remedy the nervous handling at and near the car's limit. The result was the best handling 911 to date. 1969 also marks the only year the long wheel base was paired with the 2.0L "S" engine. For '69 the "S" makes 170 bhp with the addition of Mechanical Fuel Injection; an increase of 10 bhp over the carburetor '68 "S" motor of the same displacement.
The car we have here is originally a French market model and in fact still wears it's yellow headlights which were mandatory for French registration right up until 1993. Largely original paint and completely original interior are just some of the highlights here. The car turns heads everywhere it goes with brilliant Blood Orange paint. But it is behind the wheel where this car will seduce you. The motor of this '69 S is without a doubt the strongest and smoothest of this era that we have had here at Gaudin. One drive is all that it will take for you to realize this one is not one to let pass you by.
