1973 Porsche 911 T Description
1973 was the last year of the sought-after longhood 911s, and this example is an excellent piece. The car is finished in the original color of Blue Metallic, and a repaint was performed to a very high standard. It has long-term ownership, being purchased by the last owner in 1977. The interior and underside are in fantastic condition, and there is no corrosion present. It was just brought out of long term storage and gone through mechanically to prepare it for sale. The car has an early 1967 sand-cast 2.0L case that with 2.7L pistons and jugs along with a Weber carb setup. The sand cast case was used in the RSRs and is three times stronger than the later magnesium cases. The original engine build was done by Stoddard Porsche as the owner was a personal friend of Chuck Stoddard, and a dyno sheet shows that it produced 220bhp when built. The car also has upgraded S alloy calipers, which also required upgraded struts to be fitted. This is a fantastic driving car that's been turned up a bit for maximum driving enjoyment, and done with thought and care and attention to the finer details.
