1958 Porsche Convertible D Description

This is a rare 1958 production Convertible “D” Speedster (the more comfortable Speedster) Comes with Certificate Of Authenticity from Porsche (COA)

MATCHING NUMBER CAR, engine number 82389 (this has the rare Super engine with 75 hp.) The body is by Drauz (“D” stood for Drauz). The paint code is 5704 Ivory (pretty close to the current color ). The car comes with full bumper over-riders, top, tonneau cover, spare tire, hand book and some records. It is reported that the car had three owners (father, son and one previous owner). It is currently registered for road use (runs strong). The car comes with the old small California Pink Slip which indicates a Black Plate plate number when it was issued however plates changed during a move but title remains the same. It has a older paint job and older re-done interior. Still has the original battery box and floor pans which are in solid condition. These cars rarely come up for sale now-days as prices keeps going up every month. They only made 1328 of these cars and less than half are documented to exist today (they made 4000 speedsters over many years), this car is even more rare as it has the original matching Super S engine and the 24th car built in 1958 out of 385 produced that year (one of the rarest Porsches). Now days you see restored examples go for half a million and climbing but one never knows what their true condition before restoration. This car reflects a fairly umolested condition for it being a 58 year old car.
