This 1966 Saab Monte Carlo 850 (chassis 398626) Rotisseried and now completely rust free. These old two stroke, three cylinder cars are a blast to drive. Revs to the moon with a 2 cycle motorcycle-esque shriek. A Sonett floor shifter has been retrofitted moving the original column shifter to the floor for more "normal" race car use. Still has original door panels, dash and instrumentation. It has "Minilite" style wheels. This car DOES have a clear title and could be returned to the street with the addition of a much needed muffler and a few other amenities. Some of these cars were very successfully campaigned in various European rallys, and were well respected as a tough little competitor.
This one was purchased for a collection and hasn't seen any track time with the current owner.
As with any car, a comprehensive check over is highly recommended prior to putting it back on the track. And...this is a race car (with title) and so has some "character"...meaning it has flaws and is not perfect...it is however a very clean and tidy vehicle.
Thank you for your interest, and HAPPY BIDDING!!
The interior features a very serious eight point cage..
