Originally a home-office reserve special-order car #2505. It was ordered with a 3.50:1 Traction-Lok differential, and a c6 automatic transmission, power steering and front power disc brakes. It is, of course, powered by the famed and fabled 428/335 HP V-8 engine, and is documented with its Shelby invoice, window sticker Shelby American build sheet and a deluxe Marti Report. The black interior is beautifully presented with the wood-grain elements, a center console and a modern radio, and the glovebox door is autographed by Carroll Shelby.
This car only has 291 miles since its comprehensive restoration, after the restoration a few modern adjustments were added; these are consisting mostly bolt on accessories to make it an incredible driver. They include the Fitech fuel injection, MSD electronic ignition, four core aluminum radiator with electric fans. a Tremec 5 speed Manual transmission and a set of halogen head lights, electric exhaust cutouts and a set of big disc Baer Brakes. With this small set of bolt on improvements this car can be driven everywhere or if you prefer, with a few minor changes can become a concourse restoration once again.
This is a once in a life time chance to own one of the 402 Shelby GT 500’s convertibles produced, it’s a great opportunity to acquire a very rare example of one of the greatest performance Mustangs ever built, in exceptionally clean condition.
