Unique, nmodified Studebaker 4E series Scotsman Pickup in the Land of the Midnight Sun. This Studebaker Scotsman was equipped at the factory with NAPCO 4-wheel drive and according to various reports, ay have been one of only nine or possibly four 1/2 ton Scotsman 4X4s sold in the U.S. in 1959. (The rest of the reported 86 1/2 ton units produced in 1959 were apparently sold internationally.)
This 1/2 ton pickup has had only one owner. It is unmodified but has been partially re-furbished with a nice paint job, ew glass, ew tires and some work in the cab. The mileage cannot be confirmed but has 13,061 miles on the speedometer. Some work is required to completely restore the truck (see photos of engine compartment and interior roof of cab). Cleaning and painting of the undercarriage and frame will also be required. The truck was last driven in the 2011 Golden Days Parade in Fairbanks, laska. The engine has not run since then. Copy of Build Order as issued by the Studebaker Museum goes with the pickup. The State of Alaska registration has expired.
