1951 Studebaker Description

We are Euclid Car Co at 1240 E. 286th St., Euclid, OH 44132, Thank you for looking at our vehicle. You will need a Paypal account to bid. Our hours of operation and pickup times are Mon - Fri from 10AM to 4:30PM.Please do not message us through eBay, only by our phone number. We do not read texts. Phone calls only. If for some reason we don't answer the phone, leave a message and we promise to call you back as soon as possible. If you have any questions about the vehicle, call Stan at 216-598-7011. If you win the vehicle, please send a $500 non-refundable deposit to our Paypal account within 12 hours. Full payment due in 3 days. eBay is letting anybody bid, regardless of your past history. If you as a buyer have not bought at least 3 items in the last 3 months, you need to call us before you bid or your bid will be immediately removed.

We are trying to be fair to all buyers and we do not want non paying bidders bidding up cars that an honest person wants to buy, and being bid up by a person who is playing a game with our account and thousands of other accounts in this country. We want to be fair and square to all real potential bidders. Non paying buyers will be reported to eBay. We hope not to have any. Balance is to be paid by check, cash or wire transfer only. Please send us your name, phone number and address directly through eBay so we can work out the paperwork and delivery after deposit has been made. We charge $150 for paperwork, which is the doc fee and title transfer and 45 day tags are available for $25.

We sell all cars as-is, which means the buyer is responsible for any and all repairs, according to the Ohio Buyer’s Guide (includes body, mechanical, frame and interior). We do our best to describe all vehicles as accurately as possible, but keep in mind that opinions may differ and that it’s the buyer’s responsibility to inspect the car before bidding. We advise all bidders to get a third party to check out the vehicle if they can’t make it out themselves to ensure their complete satisfaction. The reason all deposits are non-refundable is because when someone bids, that means they are 100% satisfied with this vehicle. They have either seen the car, sent out a third party, or are willing to accept the car with my pictures and my word, which may not be the same as theirs. Please don’t come out and re-check the car, see if your family member likes it, then decide you don’t want it, because then your $500 deposit will be gone. The trust I’m giving all buyers to 100% check the car out before the auction is the way this auction is being run. This must be done before bidding. When you view the pictures of the vehicle, make sure you look at them on a large screen to ensure that you can see all attributes of the car.

If the car starts and runs onto the truck, but it does not start at arrival, that is the buyer’s responsibility (cars may be damaged on a long, bouncy trip). Once the car is paid for, all buyers should put insurance on the vehicle because they now own it. We will work with your shipper or you can call Mike, our shipper, for a rate at 781-763-7447 Ext. 208. We leave all buyers positive feedback. All sales are final. All deposits are non-refundable, so please make sure you know exactly what you're buying before you bid. Our shipper will get the car to you within 4 days to 2 weeks at a fair price. If you'd like to call him for a price, that would be fine.

All cars left on our lot after 30 days will be charged $18 a day and we hope we never have to collect a dime. But we don't have enough space to store everyone's cars after they're paid for. It's the buyer's responsibility to pick up their car that they just purchased. Please remember we are on the buyer's side. Please only bid if you are a real bidder who wants to purchase the vehicle, and again, if you haven't purchased 3 items over the last 3 months we will remove your bid. If you're a zero bidder and you bid at the last second just before the auction ends, the vehicle will be offered to the bidder before you and you will not end up with the vehicle, so you need to call us.

Thank you for looking at our 1951 Studebaker Land Cruiser. This is an absolutely phenomenal automobile. This car was purchased approximately 9 years ago by a couple who wanted this particular car because they were joining the Studebaker club. Once they started going to meets, they realized that their car was nice, but not as nice as some of the other ones. The wife was very particular about this car to be 100% and so when they would go to the meets, people would like it much more than just an original survivor.

So within a couple year's time, they went through just about the whole car. The chrome was already good and they had it repainted and there was not one drop of rust on the body. They just had to sand it and paint it. The car was straight when they bought it. They replaced the total interior, including the seat covers, carpeting, all the floor panels to being 100% original, and a brand new headliner. When they painted the outside of the car, they also painted the dash, replaced all the window and door seals, and it's just really an A1 job. I don't even know anybody in Cleveland that would do it this nice, and I'm in the car business!

After this, due to sickness, they sold the car to a friend. He put a totally new braking system on the tires along with new tires, a tuneup and a lot of other parts. He also did transmission work. Between the two owners, they spent well over $25K on this car, and I could be way off. That gentleman sold it to me because he's downsizing. So one lucky person is going to get a really nice Studebaker 4-door. I'd also like to mention that the first couple that had the car put a second heating system in it, because they didn't want to be cold coming back from the meets. It also comes with two large 1951 Service Manuals. If you buy this car, all you need to do is come into Cleveland and drive it home. I usually don't suggest that on older cars, since they're so fragile and hard to get parts for, but this has been a really special car. It's been serviced to the max, steers great, shifts fine, the radiator's fine and it would have no problem going on the highway. All the gauges do work.

So please check out the 200 pictures in the Flickr slideshow below and familiarize yourself with the vehicle. If this is what you're looking for, we think we have it priced very fairly.

GOOD LUCK TO ALL BIDDERS!
