1956 Studebaker Golden Hawk Description

This car was purchased from an estate auction in Creston, IA. It does not have an engine or tranny, but was an automatic from the factory. I was told that the previous owner purchased the car with a Chrysler Hemi engine in it, but pulled that and never put anything back in it. The inner fenders have been modified and additional mounts welded to the frame, but the original motor mounts are still there. There doesn't appear to be any modifications that can't be corrected. I had intended to restore this car, but decided to look for one with its original drivetrain.
I believe the car is original, but had some spot repairs of the front fenders. It will need repair or replacement on front fenders and LR fender and rocker panels. The front floorboards will need pans. The rear floor pans are pretty solid. The trunk is very rusty, but solid. The hood has the typical creases at the back corners, but repairable. The seats are in good condition, door panels are ok, carpet and headliner are poor. The steering wheel has disintegrated to mostly just the bar. The photos in the link below tell a pretty good story. A set of decent standard wheel covers, AC-2738, are included.
I have an engine and Ultramatic that I pulled from a donor car that are available for $1000. The engine is torn down and waiting to go to the machine shop. The tranny is still complete. The engine was locked up and upon disassembly, I found moisture and corrosion in one of the cylinders. It is not extensive and can be repaired by oversized boring, or a sleeve. No bearings or races were seized. If desired, I can complete the engine rebuild. There are other resources for complete drivetrains as well.
Here is a link to all the pictures I have of it. https://www.timelockphoto.com/TM-Garage/Cars/56-Golden-Hawk-Creston/n-2vhWJZ
