** 1982 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40 ** This is a next to last year model with a production date of February 1982. It was bought new in Utah and then moved to New Mexico and Indiana. It has a clean "up to date" Carfax. I purchased it to restore but other projects will keep me from working on it for many years so I have decided to sell to let someone else start on it now. The later models are very rare and much sought after due to 3.70 differentials (easy to drive on highway), larger under rear fuel tank, split transfer case.I have a clear tile in my name ready to transfer. This is a running driving, vehicle. It runs and I have driven it but previous knowledge tells me it would be well served with an updated carburetor rebuild. 4-speed transmission shifts fine and the 4WD works in low and high. Brakes are weak and need attention. This modelDOES NOThave power steering or air conditioning.
Body.. as you can see it has a lot of rust (the paint that you see is original). As stated before you can run and drive it like it is there are no issues with seats falling through or anything related to safety. Frame appears to be sound the only issue I see is in the very rear the small two cross pieces may need replaced. They are intact but look verycrusty. If you are the winning bidder I would trailer it due to the weak brakes (they work, just weak).
** My plan was to use a new tub when restoring. I have purchased a full 3/4 Tub from Land CruiserHeaven. The last two pictures show the replacement Tub.** THE 3/4 TUB IS NOT INCLUDED WITH THIS AUCTION **However, it will be available to be purchased separately or I will set up a separate auction for it.

I believe it can be seen in one of the pictures all ready but just to be sure I want the new owner to know everything about this Land Cruiser. There is a sunroof in the white top (picture added).
