1966 Toyota Land Cruiser Description

I am selling my 1966 Toyota Landcruiser FJ40. I bought it several years ago to restore and then enjoy. I spent countless hours with the intent to keep this cruiser in stock condition. As I worked through the process of tearing it down and then rebuilding from the frame up, I decided to keep it the stock original Toyota 1028 Spring Green color. Everyone that has seen it so far has loved the color. I also used stainless steel nuts, bolts and other hardware in its restore. It has taken me most of three good years to do the work. I had a lot of help from Classic Cruisers in Salida, Colorado. I bought most of my parts from Cruiser Corp, and Spector Off Road.

I have over 200 additional pictures of the rebuild at http://s1244.photobucket.com/user/jamesshauna/library/.

The notable features of the rebuild are as follows:

-Work done by Classic Cruisers: 1) complete body sandblasting, 2) cutting out and new metal repair of all rust, 3) filling in extra holes that were not needed, 4) Applying a spray on liner to the underside of the body for rust protection, 5) Powder Coating the 5 original wheels the stock dark gray color, 6) Providing many of the original 1966 parts for the restore.

-Paint: Body work, prep, self etching primer, and beautiful single stage paint job (stock Toyota 1028 Spring Green). Mike over at Miracle really took care of me, allowing me to bring the body, thepanels, and all of the hardwareto him in pieces. He prepped, primed (with self etching primer), and sprayed the individual parts so that I could put everything back on fully painted.

-Upholstery: The rear jump seats already came to me in nearly new upholstery. I had the front seats completely redone by a local guy here in Paradise, CA. He used high-grade extra durable boat foam that keeps its firmness longer than regular foam.
