1970 Toyota FJ Cruiser jeep Description
WellI'msure no expert on Toyota Land cruisers, but Iacquiredthis 1970 FJ-40 fromanelderly man, who physically can not drive it anymore. (health issues). This is what I call a "Barn Find" and it has been parked and sitting idle for the last 2 years or so.It will need a new battery, fresh gas, etc. (what ever sitting that long will dictate). So the jeep is not currently running. However this F J was a nice running daily driver when it was lastparkedinto storage.
Here is what I can tell you and as honestly as I know it.Thepreviousownerhad set it up to be theultimatesearch and rescue vehicle. It has a rebuilt (original) engine with all the 4 x 4 goodies. It has aCliffordheaderand aWebercarburetor. It has power steering, and power assist brakes, as well as a 9,000 lb. warren winch.
It has a specialhydraulic parking brake, several radios, and a tow bar. He had just put new tires, and new wheels on it.It just had the brakes completely re-done, including all new drums. It's sure not perfec, but has very little rust likemostothers.
It is 46 years old and being sold as is. I would rather you plan for the worst and hope for the best than be dispointed in anyway.
I have a clear and open Colorado title for this FJ, as well as the keys and a parts manual. There is a fireextinguisher, a roll bar, and a remote for the winch. It's dirty, and just as I recieved it. With some cleaning and detailing it would sure look nicer.
My opening bid is $6,500 with noreserve.
This FJ 4 x 4 Land cruiser could be up and going again in very short order. If I do not sell it as-is, I will take a weekend and do it all up and get it running myself, and then re-list it accordingly.Now... all this having been said... I can't imagine finding a more rust free, originalor amoreun-molested FJ 40 all set-up like this for the price.
I have tried to take good pictures to show its overall condition. I only want the buyer to be as excited as I was when it came my way.I
am honest and dependable, and the winning bidder can count on my help for a easy and smooth transaction...Thanks.Terms of sale...I can not ship..... This means I can not crate, box, disassemble, or deliver to a shipping company. I will however be more than happy to assist your shipper, however I can.
