1980 Toyota Land Cruiser Troop Carrier Description

1980 HJ47 Troop Carrier
Imported correctly with MA title in hand
This is the cleanest troopy I have ever owned. The underside (frame rails, body mounts etc) are amazing. I imported this from Australia. I've spent a ton of time and money on this truck but I have 2 startup companies so no more time to tinker unfortunately.
Rebuilt 2H- lower end was done in AU. Cylinders are sleeved. The head has under 2,000 miles on it and I put that on last winter. New gaskets, valve lifters, rods etc.new water pumpnew thermostat housing and thermostatrefurbished radiatornew hosesfan clutchnew beltsOptima Yellow topnew alternatorNew glow plugsNew steering column ignition wiringNew exhaust - back halfTires like newOEM bumperTroopy rear jump seats recovered top and bottom in black professionallyNew Corbeau Buckets up frontFold and tumble rear seatnew taillightsnew door cardsnew inner door mechanismsnew window cranks and inside lifter/gearsProbably a ton more stuff........
I have a new headliner in a bag but I installed one on a different truck and failed miserably. I was quoted $200 to install but haven't had time to get it done.Have a washer bottle setup (aftermarket) I dont drive it in the rain so didn't bother.
This is not a nut and bolt, frame off resto. That said it's in great shape. has some nicks on the paint, nicks on windshield, etc. There were some spots on the inside wheel wells where the jump seats would bolt in its odd as the rest of the truck is really solid. guessing they stress-cracked over the years and someone just pasted over them. The forward facing seat I put in was much safer for the kids so I never particularly cared.
What it needs-headliner installed, there is a wiring issue with the glow plugs and starter which I have temporarily bypassed. There is new wiring installed in the column but I am terrible with electrical.
Engine is very strong and pulls great. Its a diesel so smokes on startup but blows off quickly and doesn't smoke while driving or idling. Rear main in starting to leak but likely just a bad seal or incorrectly installed.
The underside is perfect aside from a hole about the size of a half dollar on the drivers footwell.
I've probably forgotten things. Ask a million questions....see it in person if you can.
Located in Millis MA. No warranty.
I'll help coordinate shipping but shipping costs on your dime. The rack can be included but won't fit on a car hauler. If you're local you can have it....otherwise I'll take it off for shipping
