Very Rare 1967 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ45LV
1967 Toyota Land Cruiser Description
This very rare 1967 Toyota Land Cruiser has had only three owners on the West Coast of the U.S. It has the original engine, gearbox, chassis, license plates and manual. This 4-door, 4 wheel drive vehicle has a rebuilt engine, master cylinder and brakes, and has new Super Traxion, Specialty Tires of America tires. It is not in running condition, and needs final assembly. The body paint has been sanded and needs to be repainted. The interior and undercarriage have been painted. Included also are many newly purchased replacement parts including door panels, light fixtures and more.
Considered by many to be the world's best Land Cruiser, the FJ45 is the rarest of the 40 series. Only 5,000 examples of the FJ45LV were built between 1963 and 1967. Only 1,000 were imported into the U.S. Approximately 100 are estimated to remain worldwide.
The FJ45 was developed primarily in response to the needs of U.S. market buyers, who were searching for comfortable off-road vehicles with recreational potential. At the time, the Land Cruisers were the best-selling off-road vehicle in the States, with a more family-friendly station wagon body on the longest available chassis.
