I bought my little dream truck almost a year before I go married with full intention on a modern resto. Been married a few months and buying a house, this is not my daily driver though I drive it on the weekends to the hardware and grocery store more for fun than anything.
1988 Toyota 4x4 Pickup, short wheel bas single cab. Engine purrs like a kitten at $178k, it's a 22RE. It just got a new inspection good until Feb. 2020.
In 2018, I changed and/or added:
Driveline fluids and of course engine oil with synthetics
Old Man Emu torsions and leaf springs with greaseable shackles with all 4 new OME shocks (installed by 4WParts)
Sway bar bushings
Kenwood Multi-media stereo receiver
2 x 6x9's
1988 SR5 $-Runner bucket seats
SR5 clock and AC control panel from 1988 Pickup that was running but being parted out for a small fortune
Every A/C component out of that 1988 donor truck (have not installed yet but have everything form the donor
New Pass and Driver window regulators
Rust free bed off of the 1988 donor truck (have not installed yet because current one does not look bad on it and paint matches but I did rust proof the bottom of the donor bed to make ready for install.
New NGK spark plugs
Pulled carpet out and shampooed then reinstalled
- That's about it, I really do not want to part with this but I am about to need a little more than this in closing costs and that would be better right now than a weekend cruiser that I could use the money for. Like I told my wife, I'll find another one day.. Get in touch with me with serious inquiries only for more pics, etc..
