1987 Toyota MR2 Supercharger JDM RHD
1987 Toyota MR2 Supercharger Description
1987 Toyota MR2 Supercharged (4AGZE) RHD AW11 Hardtop 5-speed manual 114K miles (184K kilometers) VIN AW110113186 Clear Florida title. This is a Japanese market right-hand drive car - hardtop supercharged AW11 MR2s were never offered in the US (USDM SC cars had T-tops). The engine/mechanical parts are common with US cars.No maintenance records before I purchased it last year. I have replaced the oil and filter, coolant, and replaced/flushed/bled the brakes since I bought it. Overall in very good condition mechanically - starts and runs well when hot or cold. Strong clutch and the transmission is in very good condition...some synchro wear consistent with the mileage, but it shifts smoothly in all gears. Clutch-type limited slip differential. Supercharger oil is clear/clean. Stock supercharger, pulley belts are in good condition. The exhaust is in good condition...no rusty holes or leaky flanges. New battery with conventional US-style battery posts installed in January this year. Ignition components all fresh, and car revs to redline with no misses or issues. A/C does not work, and the condenser is not present. Brakes are in very good condition - plenty of pad thickness, rotors are straight with no grooving or scoring. All rotors are brand new, new front calipers, all OEM parts. Coilover suspension with adjustable ride height and adjustable dampers. Good ride quality, just slightly lower than stock.Wheels are JNC018 15x7 offset 35 with less than 4000 miles, no scuffs or rashTires are 205/50/15 RE-71R, they were used when I got them and they are nearly worn out with little tread left. I would be confident driving the car a long distance, although you would have to be cautious in heavy rain due to the tires.Body/exterior is in good condition. No rust on rear quarter panels, which is a common weak point for these cars. There was some rust in the front trunk/spare tire area. It appears that brake fluid was allowed to spill down into that area and may have contributed to some paint damage/rust. However, I spent some time and money and removed all the rust and replaced it with a steel patch. There was also some amateur repair done to the left side front air dam/lower lip by the previous owner...only noticeable up close. Paint is in good condition - it was re-sprayed recently. Glass is in excellent condition - no cracks. Headlights go up and down, all lights work. Power mirror adjusters do work, and they are easy to adjust. Interior could use some attention, depending on what you want to do with it. All gauges and switches work. Electric windows go up and down. Seats, headliner, carpet are in good condition, no tears. New floormats. Dash is intact but has some damage to the vinyl on the left/passenger side. No radio, but will include a head and the correct wires to install one, I never had time to install it. Left side (passenger side) door card has some damage/cracks. Driver's side is in very good condition. Aftermarket MOMO steering wheel. This is a very unique supercharged AW11 in good condition - I doubt there is another one like it in the US! It's a great little nice-day car, autocross/track car, or just drive it to cars and coffee on the weekend and let everyone check it out! I have 2 other cars, and I'm leaving to go out of the country for an extended period and don't have time to take care of it.
