1977 Toyota Celica Description

I spent 4 years and almost $80,000 building this car, I don't need to sell it but it would be nice to make space for my other projects. I have accomplished what I wanted to accomplish with the car and if it sells for the right price I can move forward. If the auction does not hit my reserve, the car will no longer be for sale and I will rent a warehouse to store the car. I have been going back and forth with mydecision, but decided to throw the car up on eBay to see what kind of market value there is. The car is insured by Hagerty for $80,000. I'mrealisticand don't expect to make all of my money back, trying to recoup some for my new projects. Well enough of my sulking here is some info on the car;
This car was recently featured in SuperStreet magazine as the cover car of their May 2016 issue.

I also have a build thread and a ton more pictures, however you would need to be registered on a specific forum (1stgencelica) which is locked to outsiders, message me and I can point you to the right direction or send you more pictures. The car runs and drives perfectly, it has air suspensions to drive at stock height and slammed to the ground for that perfect stance look. The ITB sounds and look beautiful, and you can enjoy music if you choose to. There is no rust whatsoever on the car, any previous rust issues was fixed before the car got painted. The paint is midnight purple 3 off a R34 GTR, the paint job and bodywork alone cost me $12,000

The car does have 2-3 small exterior paint imperfection, but nothing major. The car needs nothing as I have modded everything possible, I was planning to upgrade the headlights with DapperLighting, maybe that would be the only thing it needs. Since the build was complete 2 years ago, I have put less that 1,000 miles on it, driving it to and from car shows. The car has entered 10 cars shows and have placed or won in its respective category.

This is one of the most unique and custom 1st generation celica in the world, hopefully it can go to the right home. If not I'll be more than happy to hang onto it for a while. Winning bidder also has the option of either removing the seats or wheels and I will knock down the price a bit.

7/21 update: had a few questions about smog. The car being 1977 is not smog exempt and not CA smog legal. If you are in California and interested, I can discuss your options. One of them being crossing your fingers that bill SB-1239 passes.
