1967 Triumph Other Conv Description
Getting very hard to find, offered here is a scarce example of the TR4A. This is the most rust-free example I have seen in a long time. I have folded the top down in the storage lot to get better photos. If you will note the VIN number, with an "O" at the end, designating this car as a RARE factory overdrive model. Someone has removed the overdrive unit and it now has a standard 4 speed gearbox.
This car was discovered in a dry Georgia climate, and it shows that the car has been s southern car with a clean dry rust free body and frame as shown in the photos. Seldom will you find one with no rust in the rockers or frame rails, making this car an excellent example of the marque for a great restoration. Only surface rust evident on the floorboards & frame as shown in the pictures. The engine turns and usually are fairly easy to get running although I have not yet attempted to start it.I am selling the car as a restoration project which it certainly deserves, and make no representations,
offering this car in its as is condition, with no warranty, as is typical for an old car. The pictures will show you what you get, although I am happy to answer questions to the extent of my knowledge, or show you the car at any time prior to auction end. The title is clear, registered in my name. I will mail it to you after full payment has been made. If you ship it, I will assist with meeting the shipper. The winning bidder must pay a $1000 deposit upon auction end within 24 hours. Paypal or wire transfer is acceptable. Balance is due within 10 days, but if you pay by Paypal it will be an additional 3% to cover their fees. Pickup must be within 3 weeks of auction end, unless other storage arrangements are made prior to end of auction. I can keep the car for a little while longer if needed, but I have to pay storage for which I will expect reimbursement.
On May-02-17 at 14:20:31 PDT, seller added the following information:Hi folks just to let you know, I have decided to lower the reserve on this TR to below what I have already been offered for the car, in order to encourage bidding. Start with a solid car, as it will cost you a lot less in the long run, and you will end up with a better car. Thanks and good luck!
